Is not hard, if you can dismantle your phone cassing pairs.
Required:Components you should prepare is L7 LCD (LCD you buy from a store or congenital Taking motorola L7).
Direct course, only briefly.
I assume you finished removing Cassing your phone!
step by step:
1. Remove KEYTONES (keyboart)
2. Then remove LCD.
3. Also remove the LCD metal protector and use in a new LCD.
4. Now,connecting your new LCD to board E398 with this position:
5. Reinstall backcassing to board e398,connecting KEYtone.
6. Place the battre and try power up phone
.. so you are assured that the quality of image display on your phone now much more enthralled
Complette.Sory my bad english(anyone please modify this tutorial to make it easier).

i think this tutor is only for e398 with 16bit (65k)
since e1 had the same quality of LCD 18bit (262k)

 sorry long time off line cause busy. look l7 screen phones and you'll see the difference quality. maybe they are the same specification but in fact after I try to plug lcd l7 to my398 phone now so more charming. sorry my bad english {only us g.translator} regards

no this is wrong. You will Kill your LCD Light, rhythm light and also your flash light
after you try to put L7 Lcd on Your E398/E1
