[edit]REMOVE “MEM_MAP BLANK” FOR E398/I398/E1 ROKR with screenshot

This is my first tutorial; I hope this tutorial could help everyone who has E398, I398 and E1 ROKR that face this problem. Especially for MOTOHELL members.

Have your phone get stuck by displayed message at bootloader mode with suck text "MEM_MAP BLANK, Service Req'd"??

However, MEM_MAP BLANK case happened by mistakes act like these:
- You’ve tried flashing the MP mismatched version with your bootloader. Example: BL 0A.02 (E1 ROKR/I398) installed by MP designed for 07.D0 (E398), although the bootloader version above are supported with same MP such as 42R, 45R, 46R, 49R, etc. With firmware compatibility: R373.
- While flashing, your computer hangs (errors) or your computer has turned off or you closed flasher software such as Flash&Backup, RSDLite, P2KTools3 or other flashers software while flashing in progress.

- Error occurred while replaced BL operation/downgrade BL (error at binary exchange).
- Any other mistakes operations.

I’ll guide you to solve this problem (maybe…)
Here the steps to remove MEM_MAP BLANK:
- Turn on your phone and bootloader mode will appear.

- Open P2KTools3 by BeZ, and click menu, point flash mode. A question will appear, select no.

- Click Repair Rainbow POG.

- At Repair Rainbow POG section, click Remove Blank.

- After that, click Clear MEM_MAP

- Turn off your phone manually by holding red button, and then restart your phone and bootloader mode appear (again...)

- Connect your phone to USB Data Cable, bootloader will detect it

- Open Flash&Backup (3.0 or above are recommended), then select firmware. After select the right firmware that same with your BL version then click Quick Flash.

- Your phone will displayed message “SW Upgrade in progress..”

- Flash&Backup will show a window that shows the flashing progress; if CG1 section completed, CG2-CG18 will complete too coz CG1 is the operating system. So, if the CG1 stuck then CG2-CG18 will stuck too.

- Click Close after flashing process has been completed, and your phone will restart and working properly…

::Before do Clear MEM_MAP operation::
Before you did Clear MEM_MAP, Flash&Backup couldn’t detect firmware version and phone model.

Flash&Backup won’t flash your phone

And your phone displayed white color/blank display

:: After do Clear MEM_MAP operation ::
After MEM_MAP cleared, Flash&Backup could read and detected your phone model and firmware version.
