Thanks to e398mod for this guide..

Here is my simple yet very effective tutorial on converting videos.
This tutorial basically produces pretty good quality videos with acceptable audio with minimal lagging.
The only lag that I have encountered is on videos that exceed around 10 minutes so if you just have a few small clips this is perfect.

Things You Need:
Super (converting program). Can be downloaded from HERE or HERE
A connection to a computer (cable/card reader/bluetooth)

How To Do It:
Ok. Basically once you have installed the Super program you need to change the settings.
Once you have done that, it is just a matter of dragging a video into the area and clicking 'Encode Now'.
Once encoded, simply upload the file to your mobile (it helps to have a transflash card to hold the videos).
Note: The encoded video will appear in the same folder as the original video.

Settings:
1. 3gp (Nokia/NEC/Siemens) in 'Output Container'
2. h236 in 'Output Video Codec'
3. amr_nb in 'Output Audio Codec'
Video
4. 176 x 144 in 'Video Scale Size'
5. 11:9 in Aspect
6. 15 in Frame/Sec
7. 85 in Bitrate
8. Tick High Quality Box
Audio
9. 8000 in Sampling Freq
10. 1 in Channels
11. 56 in Bitrate

That's all there is to it.

Here are some other presets you may use. They also produce quality videos with good sounds (AAC). But,the phone will be slow in responding to volume up/down, pause etc..

Output Container : 3gp(Nokia/NEC/Siemens)
Output Video Codec : H263
Output Audio Codec : AAC

Video Settings

Video Scale :176 * 144
Frames : 15
BitRate : 75KBPS
Options : HI QUALITY + TOP QUALITY (tick BOTH)

Audio Settings

Sample Freq : 11025
Channels : 1
Bitrate : 24kbps

Also,

Output Container : 3gp (Sony Ericsson)
Output Video Codec : MPEG-4
Output Audio Codec : AAC

Video Settings

Video Scale :176 * 144
Frames : 15
BitRate : 96KBPS
Options : HI QUALITY + 3gp v4/v5 (tick BOTH)

Audio Settings

Sample Freq : 32000
Channels : 1
Bitrate : 32kbps

If you find any other presets to work great, please share Wink

I know how to make Divx 6.0 AVI files @ 24fps, playable with ZMPlayer...
but 3gp isn't bad, it's a light format...
Talking about image quality, the best format is MPG (ZMplayer plays mpg with no probs) but the downside is the big size of the videos.
RM must run @ 15fps because the stock player doesn't support higher framerates. That's good for cartoons or animations, but for movies simply SUX! Tongue

I use Virtualdub. You can cut the black bars (16:9 vids extended to 4:3), edit the vids, add filters, etc. I like XVID codec, using the handheld profile. That's like 384kbps. For Audio, I use MP3@128kbps@44Khz. That's enough for almost all the videos you'll ever need.

Yo
I'm converting my videos to 3gp for my rokr e1 with Super; for me it's the best to do this 'coz u can make ur 3gp with stereo but... the videos will move slow, to fix this I used 12 fps and i got a good frame rate and dont freeze so much in volume or keys.  Well right now i modded my settings like the way in the attch and the video is really smoth and sounds clearly even with 1 sound channel.
If anyone is tryin' to get cool videos on the rokr, try this like a basic settin' and post what u got; if u have a better way i'd like to know it cya.
P.D.: I'm using MP NaN0 WalkMaN(updated) by ritza_ll who has a great sound!!!
