looks like we have a "slowest internet connection" contest...
However I think about other thing - these network counting servers may be very slow and that's why you get bad results... ?

It surely depends on those servers.. In my case,it said the recommended server as "Male", but the result was almost twice slower than the "Mumbai" server..

Hmm... I dont know why, but i can't open speedtest.net.... is the website down or something?  My average speed is: 500 kbps on download and 55 kbps on upload... |

My work connection between Sofia (Bulgaria) and San Francisco (USA) - just see the distance:  Now check out what happens in my town:  It's amazing that Sofia-Sofia download is slower than Sofia-San Francisco  |

just connect to server far from your place and it will be slower.....(most of the time....)  |
