E398 speaker in E2

i've a broken e398..
is it possible to port e398 speaker to e2?
wut the effect?

i've read in a forum (dont remember which one) that say we can port e398 speaker to e2 but i need expert in motohell to guide me.

Yes it is possible, but only one of the speakers can be moved, because there is no place for second (it's still better than the original anyway). Here is what to do:

1. Remove both the E398 and E2 speaker
2. The placeholder for speaker in the E2 case is smaller than the E398 speaker size. However you have lots of useless plastic around the placeholder - extend it by burning it with soldering-iron
3. Once the new speaker fits (and hopefully you DID NOT BURN SOME OTHER IMPORTANT CHIP TOGETHER WITH THE PLASTIC) - just connect it to the same connectors that was used for the E2 speaker
4. Put some glue carefully, so it will not shake when you are moving your phone
5. Close the case and enjoy more bass music


P.S. So far I know only one person from Motofan that did that... Do it on your own risk mate - you must have very good hands for the soldering-iron use

Better in headset, especially when using Rockbox... Dont ask about the loudspeaker, coz many users want to replace their loudspeaker to E398...lol < me too! But i dont want to take the risk of hardware modding...

with stock firmware of e398, the speaker output is really bad.
but wit modded fw, it truly great! it beat se k750i.

jithinsk didnt ask the quality of e398 but he ask about e2... anyway... like keaglez if i had e2 i dont want to take high risk just to get the speaker....

i dont want to take a risk.. so far, E2 are not available in malaysia now.. they are currently to stop release it.. and the part for E2 is not sell at outlet store.. ermm thats why i dont want to modd the hardware.. LOL

kalau berani cube laaa, aku rase aku org yg terakhir beli E2.. tu pun kotak die dah kene gigit tikus.. klu nasib ko bek.. cari laa E2 lain dulu buat hardware modding. spare part E2 pun susah nak jmp woo.. Selamat ye.. LOL

hey,i've try to use Treble Boost Equalizer while listen to song and the sound quality are really great.....with my volumetable of ''20'' on speaker,some of the song such as Maroon 5's ''Make me wonder'' does not crack the speaker!!

u can try my volumetable.. its produce a best volume.. go to volumetable at E2 Threads
