Author Topic: E2 Performance After Usage  (Read 10580 times)

Do you notice your E2's performance gets worse after you use it for quite a while? I use my E2 mostly for sending and receiving SMS. I dont delete messages till my Phone SMS storage says "Memory Full". I think i reached 2000+ msgs in my inbox and about a 1000+ more on my outbox. But when this happens i delete all the messages stored in the phone memory.

But i still observe that after a while the overall performance of my E2 becomes sluggish.. Even though i free up the memory, it still gets annoyingly unstable. Writing SMS gets slow, there's a slight pause when i start to write the SMS. SD card reading gets slower and sometimes freeze up the phone. The phone overall gets unstable. I think a lot of 'junk' gets left over by the phone memory making it unstable. Just like Win XP. Some data are not removed and are left behind making the phone "dirty"?

Well my question is, Can i just replace my SysDatabase file with a "clean" SysDatabase file? Are there other files that i must "refurbish/replace" with a "clean" version so my E2 will return back to its normal speed?

Sorry for the long post. I guess the question might also sound kinda stupid. =) Im just dont want to reflash.. You guys might have an alternate solution to flashing to make the E2 faster again. Well, Thanks!

defrag the SD using windows defragmenter. One thing about that, i just realized, i pulled out my SD card while using the fone. It's still slow. So its not the SD card..

It was discussed before by sjj - this is not caused by fragmentation... Should be something with the firmware itself. Just flash and enjoy Smiley

Maybe you can try the reset, setting->phone setting->reset->"Reset All settings" or "Delete all data"
I think the  "Delete all data" will be usefull ,but it will delete all the data on the phone except the system data Sad

I'm guessing you tried this but when my phone starts slowing down a reboot gives it a little life back.

Anyone know security code when reset or delete all data. I have that problem when I tested skins.
