No skin works on mye398 help please !!

Hi all
Iam a new member and a got a problem that i think you guys can solve it
I have tried to put themes on my mobile butnoone wor and i cant find them in my mobile ethier.
So what  are i am going to do??? i download the simpison skin and create a folder in my mobile and change the name to skinname and after did i put all files  there and a copy by the  picture in picture folder.
But i dont find that  theme skin in my mobile.
Please help me

Use skin manager..Its very easy.. You can download it from

HELLoMOTO motoroloa-noob.. firstly u do not use a difficult step to install ur skin.. bcoz we have a software to install the skin with easy step.. use Skinmanager like Jithinsk said! just Run skinman>go to skins tab>click Install>then follow the next step.. after that u close the program then they ask u to reboot ur phone.. click ok.. DONE..  go to setting>initial setup>personalize>skins.. now u have a new skin there

But when i use the skin manager then its says that i am noy connect  even ifi have  plug in the mobile to the usb cabel.

how do the skinmanager  detect my mobile.
I HAVE  DOWNLOADED THE SKINMANAGER BUT  HOW DOITCONNECT .
i HAVE  PLUG INMY MOBILE BUTHOW DO I PLUG IN ??

did u switch ur usb setting to Data transfer Mode?? use the toothpick then scratch ur p2k pin at the bottom of the phone.. try and error dude.. which firmware u use? R372 or R373

i dont know wich version i have but my e398 is old and i have it on cable not in memmomry

just convert your R372 to R373 try to read the tutorial written by motomodder and jithinsk there's also a tutorial how you connect your phone to PC...

u can convert ur E398 to ROKR E1.. just looking on this forum, you can find the tutorial..

Make a backup first

there is feature ROKR E1 that do not have from E398

-iTunes
-Airplane Modes
-Sound its Better
-More Monsterpack

also you're gonna need to download e1_fs for skin manager to detect your phone..

I think you are wrong mate
E1_FS is used to give full access to java apps.. But you cannot use it on stock e398.

thanks for the correction man..
but somehow for some reason my skin manager only detects my phone with e1_fs active..
i dunno why..but that's the only way i can use skin manager to install skins on my phone..
hmmm...i wonder why...
