3d's 48P ROKR Ultimate comes with showQ binaries, a must in the new mpkg applications we're watching lately, is fast and stable. This FW comes with the stock APMD. I mean, it has NO overclock.
Katze2 FW comes Overclocked. You will note a boost in your cellphone's performance, but maybe a lower battery duration (just maybe, katze2 uses a well balanced APMD daemon).

In both firmwares you can improve rokr's performance making a swap partition. In katze2 you must make 3 primary partitions (fat16, swap and ext3). In 48PRU you must make 2 primary partitions (fat 16, extended -swap and ext3 as logical units inside of it-).

Is up to you to decide what do you want for your ROKR.  If you use katze2, you can install the showQ binaries manually, if you want compatibility with the new applications. If you are gonna install 48P ROKR Ultimate, you can overclock this firmware with the OC mpkg a friend of mine made Wink

None of these firmwares come with EDGE+quadband enabled, you must edit the seems or flex your phone to get this.

If u need speed n sound,go for Katze2. If u need good programs,go for Rokr Ultimate.I'm waiting for all mpkg's from Rokr Ultimate to be posted to public. So we don't need flashing to get those stuff.

Naaa... you can put all the things in 48PRU in katze2 with ease... You can overclock 48PRU but katze's is really more stable coming overclocked "from stock".  But Not all people like overclock. It depends on what do you like Wink

you can install show** binaries at any folder and add the path to $PATH variable, or copy these files into
/mmc/mmca1/bin  or
/ezxlocal/bin
then you will be able to use those "only for 48P rokr ultimate" mpkgs Tongue

and... oh yes, setconfig helps a lot if you want to modify .cfg files in your scripts  Cool

I like ROKR Ultimate  Grin.
Katze2 is based from ilove3d f/w. CMIIW

I don't like katze2 sound too. Very very loud can break your phone  Grin. So i must replace ezx_volumetable.cfg
But bootscreen & custom starup & shutdown katze2 is nice.

Every opinion is different

I want katze3 based on ROKR Ultimate f/w  Wink

There is no current way to perform efective complete backup, sorry :*(

Regarding the flashing - well it can't be more easier:
1. Open RSD Lite
2. Select Flash file
3. Click "Flash" Smiley))
