Songs wont play after sync

Hi,
Basically I hate WMP because it tends to screw up my album art and eave messy hidden files everywhere so instead I use J.River Media Center. Thing is it finds the E8, syncs to it, but when I view the files in Windows they all have a little minus (-) in a red circle on the icon and on the phone they all have a little padlock on the icon.

They will play if I start on another song and skip to a locked one but I cant just click it straight away.

Any idea why this is and how I can sort it out?

I never sync my songs using WMP or such.Can you post screenshots of your problems?

It looks like this in the file browser after sync and on the device its similar but little padlocks instead.

Is all your songs a read-only file?

No because I can delete them and rename them fine. Its just that they wont play on the phone as its locked in some way.
