after i falling my phone a week ago,the side light is gone.......my side light show when i press 'back' button and 'hang up' button........... :'( :'( :'( i go to service centre to fix it and it cost RM150!!i almost can get a new one!!so i need ur help...my phone is perfect to me now....i don't wan the side light to spoil it...so please help!!!! (sorry for my bad english)

Well, it looks like it was the hardware problem, try to bring it to official motorola service center, if it cost that much, then it is, if you really want to open it yourself, you will damage the policy, i don't think that's a good option

oh..sorry for your e2..its hardware problem..
on my experience..i often drop my e2 and it damaged my speakers..sometimes my e2 cant play sounds..

Having d same problem too..
My e2 side light doesnt work..
I dont know why..cause i never drop down my e2..
It happen after after i changing my FW..
Anyone know why?

Hey i have just the same problem on mine.When i press back or near that button the side lights are coming.. Same thing.

well, if the side light is the only thing not working, i don't think you should spend RM150 just to fix it.... not worth it IMO......if you want, i'll trade my E2 with yours and i'll charge you only RM50  (joking).... you can just turn the keypad light off..... |

I have same problem in my E2 + the keybad light not work. but I didnot think its a hardware problem.

i can only think of two possibilities 1. the light is turned off with E2's app, but your whole keypad won't have light. not just the side.... 2. its broken  |

so i think i just bear with it and soon i will change the phone .....u are chinese ,malay or??can you buy the crystal cover e2 in malaysia....??cause i find it very hard...

i'm what the government call non-bumiputra ...... and nope, i didn't found and kind of crystal cover for E2..... its not very popular in our country, 99% of Malaysian don't even know this phone exist..... |
