Author Topic: Moto rokr ringtone help with motorola phone tools  (Read 9001 times)

I have moto phone tools and am tring to figure out how to put songs on my phone and add them as a ring tone. Can I do it through phone tools? I could never get p2k to work right so I was trying to figure it out with moto phone tools.

no need for MPT or p2k programs. just copy the mp3 ringtone to your TF first. use "usb setting" as memory card.
after copy to tf, then copy/move the mp3 to phone memory...then you'll get your ringtone.

That doesnt work. It still doesnt let me apply it to ringtone

after copying ur songs in T-F go to desired song press the menu button select move or copy to phone.
after go to song in phone memory and select apply as ringtone.

hmm.. maybe u can delete first file MyToneDB and TempToneDB in folder a/mobile/audio.. restart n sett ur ringstyle.. cmiiww..

Where do you go to get the toneDB file? I open P2k and it shows my TF card but thats it.

so ur p2k tools just showed the TF (folder b)? a/mobile/audio, a/ in here is phone memory.. or maybe u can try minicomander, it's a java application (u can find in java section) which can browse folder /a, /b, or c/..

I haave my phone plugged up but when im in P2K it says no modem found or some BS like that. I guess thats why I cant see the a/ folder. How do I fix that?

Maybe you need to install correct driver first. Then in P2k tool, you choose P2k mode..not AT mode or OBEX mode. Other way, use card reader to copy song to TF,FIX melody DB in P2k mode,then restart

you can search in e398mod.com or 4shared.com or rapidshare.
