I just got a couple e398's off ebay and one of them runs extremely warm. After about 10 minutes of just being on it gets hot to the touch. Should I be worried about this? I have had quite a few E1's and they have never done this.

It near the top is the hottest. Eventually the whole thing is gets hot. I have tried different batteries, screens, and speakers and no difference. It seems to function fine, its just really warm. I can feel it in my pocket.

maybe the battery is in short... this can happen because the phone had been wet I think something is shorting out. A fully charged battery only last an hour. I have tried different batteries so I know its not that. The phone itself is shorting somewhere but it functions fine. The wet dot inside is still white, hasnt seen water. I guess ill just keep it for parts.

Yes, I love these phones. I have had about 12 since I first talked to you. Now own 2 E398's and two ROKR E1's. I do miss motomodders but all good things must come to an end right? Im glad this place is here though, great site.

I have similar problem... I can't charge the battery,so I took my father's V550 and charge the stupid battery... When I put it in my rokr, the speakers start to produce some strange sound, and it eats the battery in a couple hours :S
