Author Topic: reviving my ROKR E1  (Read 15437 times)

Its been some time since I killed my ROKR E1. I was trying to flash a monster pack but one of the 2-part files was corrupted.

Now I gave it to a shop repairer who is claiming he can fix it for 1000 INR (650 for Something called UM and rest of software).

I know its not worth it. What are the chances that if I bring it back, I can revive it myself. The current scenario is that when I start the phone it gets into Bootloader mode straight away.

PS: I did previously try to restore it myself but to no avail.

first, why you ask to us after you send it to MSC???actually, we can try to help you, but i don't know if it's still can be done after you send it to MSC, cause they have change some parts on your phone.
Anyway, in fact, you still can revive your phone by reading some survival an revival which has available here (in other section), if your phone wont get to BL, you can try force boot, never give up and try the test point, it's the last chance.
If you still can get to BL, you have to flash your phone to 42 for all first i think, it's saver way to flash our phone, after that you can try to flash it again with what MP you want, make sure it's not corrupt again.
Try it, then tell us again, don't worry, Moto's never die....

you can buy some external charger (or they called it by desktop charger), or you can borrow your friend's batt which still full, than you can revive it using your back up, or flash using 42R for all first for the safer way if you want to flash using other MP.

I do have the charger but the phone aint charging. the charge goes through coz whenever I switch it on the bootloader shows up.

And nobody around uses this phone so battery is outta question.

wierd thing is motostore declined to charge the battery for me.  Huh?

I have finally been able to get my phone running with the help of a very well educated technician. Yes, most of the work was done by him. But now the phone is asking for sim with each and every sim every time. What to do?
