Moving from E2 to Z6 -> Need Help

Hi, in the last three months I used 2 MOTO ROKR mobile set...ROKR E6 and E2
E2 has the best sound quality as I`ve seen
Hope the Z6 will do the same as E2
But I heard Z6 is not that moddable like E2....?
And how can I transfer the SMS from E2 to Z6? (I can use Motorola Phone tools for contacts)
And is there any dedicated Z6 forum..?

z6 is not free mod so far.. but we have yan0 modified firmware.. i think it will help u.. for the backup.. i think u can use MPT. both of them under the same OS

Yup,Z6 is not moddable as E2...ilove3d own a Z6 too but it looks like not much progress so far...

I own Z6 and I have modded it into the newest MP at the moment.It called linuxmodbeta by Spanish modders.I have flashed my Z6 more than 10 times but until now not much has changed.We can't install mpkg yet.telnet and ftp has been enabled.E2 and E6 are much moddable.One thing that attracts me in Z6 is the speed.
I recommend U to visit modmymoto and motofan.ru for the best Z6's references.

yeah...I got that too. that Z6 is not that moddable.....but what is the reason maybe?
motorola technical changes...or lack of interest..because I think you people can mod anything like from TV to PVR..ha ha ha

btw...I`m interested in Z6 as bcoz...it's now the fastest in Java Benchmark 2...which is very good for gaming and it's battery life is reported to have better then E2. So  wanna try out....

but E8 isn't out either...but hope to try that too...just have and idea...as E8 has morphing keyboard...I can see someone will make a mod so that the keypad shows much more info & nice funlights...I think that'll be cool....

and can someone help with the sms?....like copying any file from E2 to Z6...as they have the same architecture & OS?

lol E8's keyboard can't show more info since it's not a screen ....
if you make run busybox and other bins u can mod a Z6 ...

which file in E2 stores all the contact and sms info...is that main.db?
will copying that file from E2 and putting on Z6 will do anything?
I know in Z6, telnetting isn' possible yet...but I saw some firmware that can do that.

For Contacts, yes..it Can
but in case of sms there is no dedicated option like Nokia
In this case Nokia is much ahead then motorola
Well MPT can save the sms in XML format and I think it can get it back too
I just saved it in XML but didn't tried to revive yet

Simcard just support limited amount.. my sim just can save 30 pcs msg only
