I wish to install LinkSys on stock FW "manually" and give it root permission, how do I do it? Step by step instructions would be nice, or even a link on where to find the instructions.

Thanks!

No can do, sir. My stock profile can't connect via telnet. As I said, I need to do this on "STOCK" firmware as updating the firmware will erase the netprofiles. Please help me!

I think so, cos the installation only copy paste the .system directory then reset the phone
after inetd icon appear just click it, if its success a sound appear then u can connect through telnet

If u'r stock fw can run .lin or .sh script u don't need to install
linksys.mpkg

Juz extract linksys.mpkg and copy linksys.lin to sd  then tap it from
 e2 file manager...

But if it can,,
u can't activated linksys even u can install it on u'r phone Wink

Yup, it cant execute lin script with file manager... Btw if you only need the net profile, why dont just open the profile and rewrite in a paper? Smiley

I managed to use inetd to telnet the phone with STOCK firmware, however, I cannot use samba with it. I think I'd rather copy the "NetProfile" directory using telnet.

I tried copying the directory to the memory card but it says read only file system.

My question now is what command do I use in telnet to copy "NetProfile" directory to Windows directly?

Hmm... How if u try:
Code:
ln -s / /ezxlocal/download/mystuff/system
if u see system folder in file manager and can browse the root system, u can copy ur net profile easily now... Wink

notes: this is what linkSys do to linking the root system...
