Hey guys, check this out!
These are the files needed to play DOOM with the included Rockbox Plugin.

Once u download the file, u install it with the file manager ('clicking it'), wait a couple minutes (it's a big file)... Later, run rockbox, choose the DOOM SHAREWARE game, enable sound options, disable the blendigs and graphical effects (improve performace) and PLAY the GAME. It works smoothly on my brand new rokr E2, with sound

It's like a geek wet dream.

Congrats on your new E2. (:

I have one question, do rockbox have enough button for Doom?

sadly, it lacks of a backward button... but u rotate weapons, move, shoot and open doors (open and forward with the same key)...
anyways, actual Rockbox's keymapping sucks. It must be corrected to include the music keys Tongue

Well, i realised that only 5 keys are working, they are:
- left (joy up in 90 degrees)
- right (joy down in 90 degrees)
- key on (joy enter)
- key mode (right softkey)
- key record (left softkey)

So we can set it to the function we want... Wink A lil hard to play with only 5 keys, but its really run like hell...! E2 is awesome... Grin

Download rockdoom.wad in www.rockbox.org and place inside /archos/.rockbox/doom...

I had the file already there. I replaced it with the downloaded one, anyway... and I also copied another .wad (doomf.wad) that came in the same .zip file that I downloaded from the rockbox page... but it still doesn't work :S

doomf.wad is there but I don't use it. As I saw in rockbox page, there's a main menu in which you choose which wad you want to play... but it doesn't even enter that menu; it just says "Missing base WAD" as I said previously. But the base wad IS THERE! >.<
