backlight continuous while charging

Download the funlight.pat file from the attachment. Upload it to /c/mobile/audio. Turn ON the event lights.

no it's not okay man...is your charger original ?

i faced the same problem when i use unoriginal charger but the worst part is i cant receive or sending text messege and making outgoing call or recived incoming call.

but when i used mine a1k charger backlight still on but i can make outgoing and incoming calls also send and receive text messeges.

so in my opinion wht's wrong with your phone the problem could be
1. charger
2. 3 metal pin

Thats right rakai.. Me too had that problem when I used a charger that was not original.. but uink from M3 gave me the above solution which is a specially designed funlight.pat .. it is so modified that the keypad and display wont turn ON while charging

I am using 2 charger, original n unoriginal..
But I never faced your problem, mate..

So, how do i fix the..
1. Charger (Stop using unoriginal?)
2. 3 metal pin (I'm zero with electronic)

i have this problem too but the difference is the backlight is on and the display says "Unable to Charge".  i got the original charger. so what i did, i opened my phone, tested the three pin metal (as you call it) for connection. i found out that it's not connected to the board anymore. good thing i got a rework station... it's up and running.

so many times i've problem like that, it's normal i think..
I've tried 2 lock keypad, the unlock it then lock it again....

Just keep clean the pin metal on your charger and in your phone.....

@kimz - you are right dude, i too do the same thing... just lock your keypad and unlock it again,,, the back light turns off in 20secs (mine) .. and the problem is solved.... and i use the original charger that came with  e398.
