i use "MotoLinux Iconres Composer 1.1.1.exe" to create E8 skins..if i use bmp icons ,they can not be displayed on the screen...so i have to use png icons..and it reduced the speed..
There are many different between E8 and E2 skins' profile,and i have to pick up the common fields from the default profile and modify later, it's really a big job .not like E2 use the profiles others had finishing good...
in short, everything is hard in the beginning...haha....

The mainmenu (and probably other menu's) are actually a QT program called flowplayer. Apparently, some of the images used aren't in the iconres file. They are instead, located at "/usr/SYSqtapp/xe/resource/skins/default/media/images/". For example, the top gradient of the menu is actually mm_top_bg.gif. Replacing the file (I used mount -o bind) would replace the image. =D For other colors, check around the .svg or .css files in the "/usr/SYSqtapp/xe/resource/skins/default/" folder and its subdirectories.  Enjoy skinning! (: |
