Hi, I'm new around here so hi everyone xD. Sorry to introduce myself with a problem.

A couple of hours ago I tried to flash my phone with the Maxx III FW but the RSD crashed at 45% now every time I try to flash it again (tried with Maxx II and Black Storm) it crash at that same point or says "Flash failed" so I can't make the phone work again.
I've tried with RSD Lite 3.2 and 3.8 to no good also on several USB ports. Don't want to keep trying because I don't know how long the battery is going to last.

Anyone knows what can I do to fix it?.

Thanks.

Well i recomend you to get a "light" FW one that only uses a .sbf file, even experiment FW will work and also check the installation of drivers, are they OK, and does the phone turns on?

Drivers and everything should be OK, it's the same computer and configuration I use for every flashed. Even done one less than a week ago without a problem. Still I had some problems while uninstalling the 3.2 version to replace it with the 3.8 though not sure if that would have something to do.
The phone turns on but it freeze right when the "desktop" should appear I take that that is because the unfinished flash, right?.

Maxx III uses only the .sbf file but when I was trying to fix it I flashed both files. I can flash the .shx without problems but that doesn't fix anything.

yes it doesn't make anything because .SHX is just files with "no importance" compared to FW itself which is mostly inside a .SBF file, so i almost always just flash the .SBF file, it happened to me but i flashed and it solved, you might try taking everything out (SD, SIM-card) and turning on, and/or charging the battery with something else (another phone :S), and if nothing works, well flashing :|

I uninstalled everything (RSD and dirvers) and reinstalled it and will try flashing again soon to see if I'm lucky. If not I'm gonna take the battery to a friend so he can charge it again and then try on another computer with a clean install.

Edit: Well no luck =(. Is there anything else I could try?.

It always stop at 45% except with Zine 2 FW where it stops at 48% XD.
Could it be because the battery has run out of power?. And, does the W5 has the same battery than the E2?.

Weird i mean did you got recognized before flashing with MaxxIII (which by the way wasn't suppose to be flashed by newbies, sorry if i'm hard but that's what 3D said) and i don't know what else beside tryin in a non Vista neither XP SP3 pc, just keep tryin' i mean or something got burned or it's gonna work out one way or another

I know that, It was not the first time I flashed my phone (Hell, It was probably my 20th time or something like that). I didn't do anything different, just plugged the phone in the first bootloader, run RSD Lite, select the .sbf file and it just stopped at 45%. And now that happens every single time I try to flash it.

I'm using the same computer with XP SP2 that I've been using to since I got my phone more than 9 months ago.

I knew what I was doing and I didn't do anything wrong nor different from the last times. That's what I don't get, it just stopped working half way during the flash and now it won't pass from that point, Maybe something got broken/burned/whatever inside the phone and happening during a flash was just a coincidence?.

Tomorrow I'm gonna take to a motorola store to see if they can fix it. Still, thanks for the help =).
