I have a friend that wants to use her Verizon branded phone on MetroPCS. Is there software to unlock it or some firmware I could flash onto the phone to make it work for MetroPCS instead of Verizon? The phone is a V3r. Any help is appreciated.

there are many different unlocking providers in internet... However all paid as far as I know. Local shops usually do it very easy.

The official (but never working) variant is to contact the service provider for free unlock Smiley
