I tried to follow the instructions, and i hv to make a backup my pds so i create a new one. They recommend doing it with flashbackup 1.87 but i can´t find it, i´m using 2.62 version but i receive the message "Your phone is not supported". With version 3 there are no options to make a pds backup. So i´m still screwed.

I followed the instructions described in ( http://e398essentials.wikispaces.com/R373_TO_R372_PDS_Conversion) since i was taken to it from the "topic E398 Survival and Revive at www.motomodders.net" recommended by MotoManiacs. My problem was that i had a broken pds, thnx God I had a backup in an old coworker computer, and following the instructions now 4 the first time in a while my E398 turned on normally. I can´t thank enough to you guys BruceLee, MotoManicas, are_goenk and Matrice for helping me out. BTW i found this page with working download links. Now here is my current situation i follow the steps 1-5 in ( http://e398essentials.wikispaces.com/R373_TO_R372_PDS_Conversion) and my phone is working, i´m not sure if i should continue with the next steps |

yes, you can´t describe the feeling. Now the only problem I have is that is a little unstable, sometimes it starts ok and ocasionally all i get is the keyboard lights.

follow tutor conversion e398 to ROKR at sticky topics

well that's something.. i'm pleased to know that your phone is alive again.. well after the pds thing (in my opinion) you should flash the 42r for all and after that any r373 monster pack that you like

Ok, i´ll do that. One question, does e398 monsterpacks, gaintables, languaje packs, etc. for E398 will still apply for a E398 converted to ROKR?

okay here i tell yo what contain on a monsterpack.shx
1. CG1 >> Firmware
2. CG2 >> Flex
3. CG3 >> DSP
4. CG4 >> Language Pack
5. CG15 >> DRM
6. CG18 >> Digital
The e398 Original which didnt have flashed yet is still on R372 after it has flashed to ROKR the firmware change to R373
So that mean you cant flash R372 Files into R373 unless you want to bricke your phone again
