Author Topic: How to get a server IP when the domain is down?  (Read 10273 times)

I really need help on this! My website has been down for almost a week and I think its the domain causing the problem.... I'm currently using a free uni.cc domain... I need the direct server IP so that I can access it...

MotoManiacs® - there are many options.
1. If the free host supports adding real domain - connect your domain name trough their control panel and then ask the host for their "Name servers". Then contact the domain registrar and update the name servers of the domain
2. If they do not support adding real domain, but give you some temporary address as subdomain, like something.freehost.bla - then you can ask the domain registrar to setup a DNS service for you and point your domain with CNAME record
3. If it is freehost from type www.freehost.bla/username/blabla - then you can ask the domain registrar if they can make "Frame forwarding" or at least "URL forwarding" (but the last changes the address in the address bar)


sjj - actually this is what I see too. You are resolving the site fine, but it is unavailable Smiley

I got the answer, the domain was suspended because illegal content was hosted there.... DAMN IT! Angry
