As it says in the title, turn on the phone and it says Boot Loader - Code Corrupt, in addition the phone won't charge in boot mode.

Basically I'm in a catch 22 situation, I can't charge the phone to re-flash as the battery is now flat.

HELP!!

PS first time here, so Hi Smiley

You must charge first using desktop charger.
If you are using e398 07.DO you should to flash 42r for all using multi flash flex.
Download my reviving tool.

Do you need some more help? If yes, please tell us what information is given in the bootloader screen?

You need to charge your battery somehow, but you can't use your phone. Does some friend have a Motorola? You could even cut the wires of the charger and connect straight to battery (I did that many times), but that would leave you without a normal charger :-/

Haven't got a friend with a moto Angry.... didn't know you could connect the battery directly to the wires as I thought the phone may have regulated the supply somehow. Thats why I didn't do that. If I cut and mark the wires they will easily re-connect to each other so maybe that will sort this: Cheers for that one.

Might try that method to get some charge in the battery, need to get a new Data Lead now though... tried to do the USB Charger/Data cable method and do some soldering to the connection but I have now killed my lead Sad Couple of quid will sort that.

info...

Code:
Boot Loader
07.DO
SW Version
R373_G_OE.30.4
9R
Code Corrupt
---------------------
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data cable

As soon as I take out the wall charger it just dies or says battery too low.

So all I have to do is slice and dice the power cables and go from there... .... will report back.

(anybody live local to me or where I work in the UK ??) please PM me.

If I was to get power back to the battery, would it be possible to short TP and go back to standard settings instantly or would it need a re-flash from that point?

Desktop charger somepeople call it traveller charger.
in my country it's about 19$
If you got code corrupt.
I think you only need to flash 42r for all using multiflashflex.

Just connect wires straight to battery and leave it 4-5 hours. The mechanism that stops charging is on the batter (only on original Motorola batteries!) and you will have no problem if you leave it over night, nothing can be broken.

After you fully charge it, you should flash 42R_for_all like jzzz said. You can find it here - http://www.e398mod.com/content/view/506/30/

After that, phone must work. Charge again and then you can flash any MP for 07.D0 bootloader.
No need for testpoint, trust me.

Cheers!

UPDATE:

Battery has charged. Thats part 1 of the problem, so yes you definately helped.

Have ordered a new data cable off e-bay since I FUBAR the last one (silly me, you should NEVER try soldering with a 30w iron, basically I desoldered some of th epins by accident Sad)

Part 2 should be solved when I get the new cable.

Many thanks for the help.
