i dont know if it's on R372 version but i do use 1gb on my e398 (R373) the problem is maybe it will be little slow when open any files

Yes 1 gb works on e398 :-) I have tried with both san disk and kingston micro sd and both are working. But make sure before u buy it.

i used 1gb micro sd with the mtv r372 and i'm still using it with r373 and i have no problem

i know someone that have 1 GB memorycard and he said that after about 40 songs it does error and with pictures and videos it works fine.

if it has errors after 40 songs it's probably from the software he uses. once i had over 200 songs and there were no errors

1 gig card works perfectly fine in e398 ... and it was working in mine too, until my phone was alive ...
1gig card costs about 25$ at my place... i guess its pretty cheap there p@ssion.
