Hey there.
I did TP, cos there wasnt any other way to rewive my phone.
But I got problems after I flashed it with "R372_G_0E.20.26R_flash".
Now when I try to connect phone to my PC i got info that IT CANT RECOGNIZE USB DEVICE. I tried to other USB port, I even tried make TP once again with other bootloader, and still the same. Sad

My PC i good, and I dont think so there can be some problems with that.
I think phone is making that troubles.

What can be the problem and how can I resolve it  Sad

it might be from your pc. it happened to me too when i changed from r372 to r373. after i reinstalled windows it worked. (it's not for sure, i'm just telling you what happened to me). Anyway... why are you using r372 and not r373?

After TP your PDS is not complete to make it complete you have to flash 42R_for_all but then you have r373 not r372 to make almost complete PDS on r372 you have to use MRS(it deletes some seems; to undo this you have to convert to r373 using 42R_for_all or restore PDS backup)

The other method of making "full" PDS for r372 is to restore PDS backup before TP.

I think that causes the problem.

If your mobile does not turns on and there you've got unrecognized error you just need to Force BootLader and flash 42R_for_all or restore old PDS backup and than flash any other MP

Ive got that file: R373_G_0E.30.42R_for_all
And when I try to flash it, I got error:
- In Flashbackup on flashing: firmware (1/8)
- In MFF : Error:FLASH failed! *********Flash FAILED!!!*********

And I cant flash it Sad

Also when Im trying to do Force Boot, there nothing on the screen Sad

PS.
How can I restore that PDS ?
I think maybe I should do TP, and restore PDS, cos 42_for_all not working as you can see Sad

Restoring PDS is a special function in FlashBackup.

Tutorial of restoring PDS on FB2.62

1. Go tho Backups tab
2. Select PDS Backup in Backup mode
3. Press "..." button in Restore Backup and select a PDS backup. If there is no backup shown that means that you did not done any PDS backup before in that case restore Full Backup(it contains PDS backup)

Are you flashing it in BootLoader mode or in "Blank" Mode. If mobile is in "Blank" mode tell and I'll write tutorial how to install BootLoader.

Force BootLoader will not work if there is no BootLoader installed.

In my opinion it's hardware problem and you have to service it. You have done all that can be done in changing CG's in E398. Maybe someone other has same problem and can help but I do not think so.

Wait a week and if none can help just go to Motorola Service.

Here is what I did.

1. Made TP
2. Installed R373 42_for_all
3. Phone started, and when asking for PIN softkeys dont working

Now phone not restarting, but I cant go to menu, and change Connections to Data/Fax , to change to some MP.
I dont think so that not worknig softkeys are from some hardware malfunction. I think that 42_for_all is making it.
Is there some way to change connection to Data/Fax bypassing the PIN code ?
I also want to tell you that when Im in BL, PC is still showing me USB NOT RECOGNIZED :/

change your SIM card or diable your PIN code using another phone. maybe motorola usb driver from motodev.com can help you 'cause this driver will automatically switch to data/fax mode when you open any p2k programs.
