How to apply patches:

- E398 = you can apply with fb 2.62 straight to phone (online patch)
- ROKR = you have to use fb 3.02 or above to patch it on CG1 offline (reflash on comp, not straight to the phone)

Hey guys what the "Failure Master Clear & Master Reset" patch does ?

I do not know for sure but I think it disables those functions(you get fail message or somthing) 'cause those functions delete mma and other files that are used in moded mobile

yep,I think MR and MC will not function after that patch..Good idea BTW  ::)

I found at motofun.ru some patches to elektro255 0.4a4 mod. I translated most of them and cheacked if they works, those which I am not able to translate or didn't work I 've puted to other rar file

I am a newbie. I patched the blacklist into my mobile, there was not thing unusual happened, but there was also not thing changed in my phonebook category, I used flashbackup 2.62. Are there any guy patch it successfully?

there are diferent patches that do the same thing but for diferent firmwares

Its the pseudo playlist patch for default player.

For patching, my F&B 3.58 not support. So, which version supports to patch them? I mean the number after 3.... there are several F&B3, right. What about the newest version at motorolatools.com, namely F&B3.6, does it support to patch!?

patch for fullscreen java is "Remove status line"
it already on my patch collections but it only for 49R.

i use it in Motolovers02 MP but i don't use it again on Motolovers02.1 MP because it has a little bug (not much but little annoying). whenever you 've done use java, when you back to main menu, the upper icon still got missing, so you have to go to Java list then out again to make upper icon show up.

How can I use This program?

First you must split a Monster Pack or Firmware shx file or sbf file with "shx codec" or "sbf recalc". You will need only CG1.smg from all the splitted files.
Load in syssound the CG1 file.
After that customize the sounds as you wish.
and save it in the same place or in other CG1.smg file.

I've successfully ported two patches(Reboot on chat and 2xmenu=enter menu everywhere) to work for 42R. This was my first attempt and I feel so great..lol :D

hope motomusiq V3 adopt many patches...

I`ve tried 42R before.?It has longer battery life and better sound quality.
Too bad it`s difficult for me to port all patches from other firmware to be used on 42R.
Some patches hex value need to be changed (not only the offset) to suit the firmware. Seems that for some patches, each firmware needs different value.

I have RGF and it's not working as it should.
The clock is in the right of the battery and it's completly white.
I couldn't make a screenshot so i modified a bit your screenshot to see how it is (see at the attachement)

nope man...in my pictures, i've patch my clock with "Patchmaker" to adjust the place.
in Patchmaker, the position of clock replaced the position of "Location"
and for the white's..you have to adjust the color of your skin.
i still don't know it which color to adjust the clock color but i think it's in the datebook.
also the font of the clock, in my phone it match with the font of the datebook.

Seems like I'll have to re-think about 42R :(

I`ve tried Clock on Status bar patch last night.
I relocated the clock position between data and java status icon.
I still don`t know which color from skin that related to the clock`s font.
I found a bug. The transparancy of background in write new message is automatically set to 255 after I apply the patch  >:( >:(

I used this order: Hours into status to line 1.56 fix > Java in Background to match Hours into status line > Clock Position
I think it doesn`t matter if you want to use different order. Just don`t forget to make Undo patches incase something goes wrong  ;)

and for the color of the clock on the status line, i've figure it out.

to change the clock color, edit your skin with skinner4moto.

i've also edit the patch to make the position of the clock just like my preview above. you can try it @ attachment.
if you want to edit the position of the clock with Patchmaker, make sure the size of "Location" is 32x16. if less, the clock would not appear.

this patch is for replace Battery Safe with Keysound.
if you patch with this, in the option of Battery Save, it will be option for ON/OFF keysound.

Well, I try whit the filewap patch and it works... You can download zip,rar,exe files extensions whit your wap browser, but you need to change 0032_0001 seem. I don´t know what need to change becouse i can´t read russian... but in motofan.ru they post a 0032_001 file whit all changes. After i test the patch in my browser, i donwload some zip files...and i dont know if this patch turn your phone unnestable becouse my phone restart 1 time.
The question is: This is stable patch? What changes need in 0032_ seem to work the patch?

I want to share my new patch. :) :)
I reordered all symbols on keypad 1 to make it easy to be selected when we're writing SMS.
I made 2 types. Each type has different order.
- On type 1, I added 1, 0 and ^ symbols.
- On type 2, I added copyright mark, registered trade mark and ^ symbols.

Patches here:

- Ring.fpa is use to change "Preferred Card" to "Increase Ringstyle". but this patch is has the same address with patch keysound (change option "Battery Save" to "Keysound") so you have to choose what patch do you use.

- Greencall.fpa is to change the press of the green call button. with this patch, if you slightly press of the green button, you have "Dialled List" (just like the usual). but if you press more than 2 second, you will get "Received Call List".

and there's no bug for using the greencall.fpa patch. i use it on 49R.
but i don't use ring.fpa because i prefer to use keysound.fpa

yep,the fault is in FB 3.06 soft. on my e1rokr,it won't change to correct value with online patch. so i have to patch ring.fpa manually. and it's not confroted with the address of keysound.fpa.

I had the same problem. When I applied Ascending Ring patch online, FB 3.06 gave the different value to CG1, so I applied the patch manually as masta Gayoe did and it works then :) :)

I tested the patch, incrase java heap to 1400k. In my screen of java setup replace heap: 800k to 1400k
The itunes turn very slowly... and i dont feel a big diference whit others java apps.

For me this font clock patch is working correctly. You must edit u'r skin using skinner4moto. The part u must edit is on "digital clock" the frame must bigger than standard at least 35 x 75 pix. This my home screen after use font clock patch.

the russians says that if you patch it, the java program is work more fast.
but for corelets (specially itunes) it will be the same.
and for some cases, itunes are more slow, but not if you're using MV or VC

if you already have FB 3.06 then you can use it to patch ONLINE (straight to the phone) for e398 (BL 07.D0) and e1rokr (BL 0A.02) :D
just remember to use the correct profile.

To habilite Motomixer in menu:
1.- In seem 0032_001 offset 51 bit 5: Multimedia > Motomixer (1 on, 0 off) (menu item, may require update to mma files).
2.- To appear in your menu edit your mma_ucp whit mma advance editor or P2kmenuEditer.

pd. I modified my mma_ucp and before I create a shortcut access to motomixer. Then i restore my old mma_ucp and just need enter into menu/shorcuts... to activate the motomixer (elfloader now).

How do you run HelloWorld.elf and ToneDBKiller.elf if you can`t run FBrowser?
AFAIK HelloWorld.elf and ToneDBKiller.elf are activated from FBrowser.

What are_goenk said is right.. You have to start fbrowser.elf first to run other apps..

the fbrowser is the main application loaded (in my opinion) and when you try to run it the phone detects that there is already another instance of the program and doesn't do anything

Patch sort date or alphabet in animation 42R, 46R, 49R

To sort files in Multimedia (Sound, Pic, Video) on date order or alphabetical order.
The setting is on Initial Setup >> Animation.
if you do not have this option on your phone, edit seem 0032 offset 1E bit 3 set ON.

the setting:
Initial Setup >> Animation >> ON ---> sort files in date order
Initial Setup >> Animation >> OFF ---> sort files in alphabetical order

after this patch, maybe you can modified your langpack by edit CG4.smg or with dnp.prf file.

Patch icon_rc_inss is used for showing a miscalled alert icon on status bar.
That icon has the same place as digital clock on status bar (location status).
So when a misscalled alert icon appears, it will cover digital clock on status bar.

New info about patch increasing java heap.
AFAIK, there are 3 version of patches that is used to increase the size of java heap.

1. Version 1.0 --> MIDlets: 1400 KB, Corelets: 880 KB
2. Version 1.01 --> MIDlets:1496 KB, Corelets: 880 KB
   Both version 1.0 and 1.01 have a bug on running iTunes.
3. Version 1.02 --> MIDlets - 880 KB, Corelets - 1400 KB
   This version has no bug on iTunes.
I`m using Version 1.02 right now, and I don`t see any problem yet.

If I'm correct in thinking it's the memory allocated to Java apps, the more Heap the smoother things run

If i'm not wrong, it's a part of the ram memory, ram memory is saparated between parts for differents uses, and heap is one of them. The java apps are loaded into this memory, and thats the reason cause if you have less corelet heap, some corelets will not work; usually (not always) corelets requiered more heap than midlets.

online patch ==> patch straight to phone
offline patch ==> patch first on SHX on comp, then flash the SHX to phone
both does not require online internet :P

Ya, that's overlaps the java icon. But, so strange about app error of ur all java apps. Maybe that's depend ur skin. U can re-install ur main skin with "heavy skin". I mean u can edit ur main skin with S4M, untick "light skin" and save, then install into ur phone. Correct me if I'm wrong...  ;)

Put phone into bootloader connect to flashbackup
Click Patcher, Select the patch
Apply patch

For FlashBackup 3.0.6 (E398 & ROKR)
(( Use correct profile ))
click firmwares
select file and select a firmware file
Check "Apply Patches" select patches
click add and select the patches you want
click ok
Either save it or quick flash it

Put background pictures (ap_info_bg.gif & ap_ctrl_bg.gif) into skin folder. :)

AFAIK, The SMS is stored in SEEM's not in CG1 (Firmware) and theres no way to increase it, Max I've seen so far is Molo with 156 ish (none in outbox)

motolovers03 is and old MP(now) it has not lots of patches(ex. background player) just download this patch from patch section(first glued topic on e398/e1 forum) and patch it to your mobile

Most 2GB micro SD are made in diffrent technology than 1GB that is why your mobile just see 1GB. There is no patch to make it read whole card 'cause hardware cannot do that. Some old 2GB cards(ex. mine) is old technology and my mobile sees whole 2GB. Sorry, you should read about card reading problems before you both it or just use 1GB and when you buy new mobile just search for one that uses microSD or SD(if you have adapter) cart so there will be no need to buy new card

There is a patch from neighbour forums, actually this patch is already available sometimes ago but I just want to review it again. The patch for showing the Analog and Digital Clock on the main screen together.

In patch at description (if translate to english) : 'Change mma_.ucp together with skinom 2.0 (mma_.ucp is taken from the folder of skina, if there it does not exist, then standard from a/mobile/system)'. In older version. The mma_ucp file name must have the same number as skin order.
ex: mma_ucp1 for skin number one and so on.
But I guess you're right. In this version, the mma_ucp must be place in skin folder. If there's no mma_ucp in skin folder, it will use mma_ucp in a/mobile/system

Hey,that multiple mma doesn't work for me.. Even I make the default mma_ucp (/a/mobile/system/) to be 12 icons menu,the skin shows up as 9 icons menu only.. :( Also if I keep the mma_ucp file in skin's folder,the result is the same. I can't understand how that 9 icons menu came from... ???

Yes kimz, u must edit the clock size in ur skin. Min size are height>24 and width>56.

However you wanna edit the language is up to you I used Moto Language editor (easier and as suggested in the TXT file) and worked like a charm, The switch to Bootloader option is a massive help :)

I've tried java no icon patch both on my E398 and my ROKR E1. It works fine. May be you should check the offsets and hex values in your patch to find out the problem.

To get rid of "Read Beyond end of file" error msg, you must add empty bytes at the end of CG1 until offset C7FFFF. You can use Hex editor to do it.

anyway it doesn't fix MMS store picture bug that every cg1 have... actually electros 0.3mod based on 49R.... :/

& I can't find clean 49R on wich you can apply paches..

everybody have this problem, to store picture from received MMS ;)

please check out do you have that MMS bug on yours 49R if you don't have upload your 49R so I can patch it up....

With F&B 3.0.7... Go to Firmwares tab, and open your MP or backup, and then you have to turn on the option "Apply selected patches" and then choose what patches you want and then click "Quick Flash". Also, always create UNDOs for patches. And you dont need to flash Flex, DRM and Language Pack in this process.

Dunno bout FB 3.0.7 or 2.6.2 coz I use 3.0.05, there is Other Features tab. Klick on it, select ur patch file, then klick on Apply Patch. Do it with ur phone connected, this is online patch.

I mean I got the v3 of moto_g  I think or motolovers and came with a HUGE parches folder and I was like ... ah... ok ... .. cuz every time I aply all the patches toghether since to crash :P so ... going one by one is just... x_X and I was wonder if every time someone say " this is a patch is for this... " the new monster pack already had the patch apply .... I asume not right ? 

Hehe luthy, that folder comes with the MP so you can UNDO those patches... And they are allready applied to the MP :)

Do u want to know, is patch already applied or not yet??
1. Read the ReadMe file, check for applied patch.
2. Try to offline patch, an UNDO file will be generated. Compare the hex value from it with ur patch. If its the same then the patch alredy applied.
3. Check it with hex editor, compare the hex value with ur patch.

And about applied some patch at once. U can merge them, but u hav to be sure that the hex address not overlapped.

what does "java still running in the background" patch do?

i think it makes your app work on even you put it in SUSPEND (background)

To sort files in Multimedia (Sound, Pic, Video) on date order or alphabetical order.
The setting is on Initial Setup >> Animation.
if you do not have this option on your phone, edit seem 0032 offset 1E bit 3 set ON.

the setting:
Initial Setup >> Animation >> ON ---> sort files in date order
Initial Setup >> Animation >> OFF ---> sort files in alphabetical order

after this patch, maybe you can modified your langpack by edit CG4.smg or with dnp.prf file.

While the phone is ringing just press Volume UP or DOWN key and it will mute the ringtone :) Caller is still on screen but phone is silent :)

Where i can get 1000kb mms patch for 49R?I dont use it to send mms,but only for download.I ever try download using Siemens with unlimited mms and I can download until 10mb,but when using e398,mms limit only 300kb,and I cant download over than that size.

I found interesting patch in motofan.ru and I made a little modification in it.
This patch changes date formats that shown on homescreen.
It changes DD/MM/YY to DD MM YY, MM/DD/YY to MM DD YY and DD-MON-YY to DD MON YY.
This patch is made for 49R firmware.

Hey everyone, I know there's a chance this has been answered a million times, but I really can't figure it out.
Whenever I patch the Clock in SS patch, or Hours to Status Line Fix 1.56 the clock will cut off the last digit sometimes, and there is no AM/PM?
Is there an easy way to fix this? Or do I have the wrong patch?
I am on 49R Elektro Mod v3.

Like Matrice said, use patch maker to edit clock width. And then u need to re arrange all status line location too.

I found a new patch. It's called  Increased battery indicator (49R)
This patch makes battery indicator devided to 6 bars. You must edit DRM icons to suit this patch (example icons included). :)

I dont know what it has to do with ELFs, but its nothing with MidTransfer. ELF use system HEAP like JAVA, so there is not much left for them when you patch that ;)

I've got 1352 java heap on phone :)

well, i apply the patch heap J1300 C1496 and when i try to use the cell internet browser it does not works correctly or my phone restarted, then I went back to the patch heap J1496 C1100.

I"ve just patced my E398 MoHell MP with UNDO ELF, in the hope after that i wil patch it with new elf and the new elf application will start normally. But what was happen is that may phone keep on restarting. Please give the clue how to revive my phone. As soon as possible....!!!!

Does your phone keep restart even when you remove your memory card?

i cant works the new patch. i remove the bg_player patch and then aply the new patch, copy the audio and video folders but when i use the player my screen show only one gif but no words, my screen appear in black. please helpme! and sorry for my bad english.

Autokeypad lock is applied in the Anarchy mp 1, and there is no Clock on SS for 42R (i tried porting it by searching for new offsets but it didnt work)

To create your own elfpack.fpa whit portkit need edit your cg1.bin or smg and cut the empty Bytes. But that edit fw do not use to aply the patch generate.
And to work that other patch f2bluetooth I think you need ad some FFFFFFFFFF bytes to your CG1 becouse sure need bytes to write the patch.

Try not to copy the folder directly, coz sometime it's will failed
AFAIK p2ktools can't copy folder.
So, if wanna copy the folder, make the folder first, than copy the files.

2. patch ap skin.
(did it many times)

copy skin folder to my skin directory with p2ktools. damn i did it many times too. still blank screen..

i thought my cg1 wasnt good anymore so i did what niksy say,
i take fresh motohell firmware then do that step again..omg, i must be dumb or something.. still blank screen.. i tried to copy skin with p2ktools, i thought that was wrong way, so i copy with minicommander (java app)....the result is...failed...omg, i think i will give up..

Use Molo FW coz Molo no Patch with bg In Play Or Aps Skin

one tips for me, if you want to copy folder "audio" and "video" for apskins, it's easier to copy folder to TF first, and then access it using minicommander than copy it to /c/mobile/skins/ with minicommander, it's much more easier.

Yeah, but it's not compatible with increase java heap.
And if you have CG1 with this patch and install more apps.
Than u back to CG1 without this patch.
Your apps going error n need reinstall again.

"File to Bluetooth"
I have patched the cg15 and CG1:

1.-File bluetooth.fpa
2.-Files2BT_49R.fpa
3.-ShowNewGroupsBT_49R.fpa

I have patched the CG15 and CG1 separately
in the order they are listed patches
but I have a problem
I am not showing any file:
b/mobile/video

the drm already has all the icons
and placed the files to display in:
b/mobile/video

someone has a solution???
note: I am using the reflash of 49r without any patch

correction, you don't have to patch CG15 for it, all you have to patch is CG1 only, and the order of patch as i know is :
1. show new groups.
2. free files to BT patch.
3. files 2 BT patch.

i've got the fix patch for Poer MP.

I think You'r Wrong, not all java heap patch,
Try My edited java heap patch(J1100 C1496) it's compatible, and you will get 71 + 71 free slot.

Before start delete all your java midlet & corelet(phone & transflash), instal first java using motomidmen 0.80.

1. before start patching you have to delete all java apps(include corelet) on phone and on transflash,
2. delete file J2MEST on  /b/mobile/kjava/xxxxxxxxxx/     (xxxxxxxxxx = your IMEI).
3. Patch & flash your FW.
4. Turn on the phone and open game & apps, chang to transflash, after that close game & apps.
5. connect usb and open MotoMidMan( use versions 0.80 or above, do not use Version 0.70 or below)
6.  instal first midlet(on phone & transflash, this proses will give new J2MEST) and now you can see that your max apps is 71 on motomidman log. after this step your phone can install up to 142 ( 71 + 71).

you does't need to delete j2mest on /c/ , Maybe patching process did't success (sometime happen on F&B 306 ) and do not use old motomidman,
I'm using MotoHell MP righ now,and all work fine(53 midlet installed on transflash + 1136Kb heap).

there's 2 problem when using Motomidman,  MMM does't display all midlet(31 max) at first connection to PC ,just close and open it again. and 1 more bug sometime motomidman delete all java icon on phone memory(not transflash) j2meX.png on (/c/mobile/kjava/), j2me15x15icon.png & j2me15x15icon_VSCL.png on (/c/mobile/).
but don't  worry there's no problem with the midlet & you can restore it back.

@samliang, that caused no more space in your CG1, Add the bytes untlil 10DFFFFFF or u can flash the CG1 than make full backup without cut empty bytes.

I have old e398 and i haven't update the firm from the last is Bodyguard firmware, but now i seen from the newest but low end type motorola w230 it can used song from ext memory as a ring tone which in e398 should be copy to phone memory.
is there any patch to make it happen in e398 .

i forgot to make an undo file when i flash it using FB... :(
now i want to undo and remove the patch...i want my phone shutdown with default style...i dont want to flash my phone again...any seem can i edit????

make undo patch with fb 3xx on option firmware,choose original firmware or your last Mp,click tab use patch then choose patch menu powerdown(dont forget to click tab make undo patch)then save as your firmware.And now you have patch menu powerdown(Undo).

You need mod your LP... Font ID 07... your font dont have AM and PM letters.
Or if you like the clock of motohell mp extratc the font id 07 from LangPack motohell mp and repleace your id 07 LP.

Hey guys,
I needed an UNDO patch for the following:
1) the Phone unlocks whenever there is a message.
2) My keypad lights stay on everytime there is a message. (this drains my battery if i dont check the messages)
3) The phone screen and keypad stays on when i get a message or missed call when the phone is charging. This will eventually ruin my phone i think.

I find this feature in all the MP's these days and i'm not able to UNDO these. Can someone please provide the UNDO patches for these.
