I think that running NDS games on E2 might be quite possible... E2 has a ARM9 processor, NDS also has a ARM9 processor, so not much emulation is needed... The screen resolution of NDS is 256 x 192 pixels, which will fit easily into the E2 screen... The NDS has 2 screens, so the emulator must have a feature to switch between the e2 screens and have a virtual mouse for the touchscreen...
Any developer willing to try this out using my ideas??

Nice suggest.
But i dont think E2 has great graphics card as NDS has. And using virtual mouse is very hard...

GBA emulator has been developed for such a long time and many problems are faced when developing it, so I feel that we should try something else like NDS...
Maybe we should also start with developing simpler emulators for GBC or NES... I know we already have such emulators running in Java but I feel that there will be much better speed if these emulators can run in native linux... I would really like to run GBC roms on my E2 in full speed and fullscreen...

Of course, a native mpkg application will be faster than an equivalent java. Emulate NES over java, i.e, implies something like double emulation: Nes emulation over java emulation... A native NES emulator wouldn't be limited as a java

E2 doesn't have a graphical processing unit (GPU) so any emulation would be through software (wich is normally TOO SLOW). PSX and PSP may be emulable, but never playable, not with only 5MB of ram and without a GPU I'm sure NES, SNES and maybe GBA will be emulated in our ROKRs, it's matter of time.

Taurnil, do you know if E680i or A1200 or any EZX phones that contains a GPU??
bjinz, these gaming consoles (gbc, nes) don't have a touchscreen or mouse, so it can be easily controlled by buttons....
