of cource you can make a backup of your bootloader.
you need to do this:

if you like to share your bootloader, please telnet your phone, type:
dd if=/dev/mtd4 of=/ezxlocal/download/mystuff/bl0285r.bin

then copy the bl0285r.bin from your phone's "file manager" and attach here, thanks.

1.- download inetd: http://www.e2mod.com/content/view/17/28/
2.- extract and copy the .system folder to your memory card and replace this one
3.- restart the phone.
4.- now click in inetd icon from the main menu. Wait and listen some ringtone.
5.- in Connection setup, you need to choice USB Net.
6.- connect the phone to your pc.
7.- On windows go to: Start > Run > cmd  and now you need to make telnet. Follow this instructions:
http://www.e2mod.com/content/view/18/29/
8.- When you succes make telnet, in cmd window you need to type this comand: rokr or telnet 192.168.16.2
9.- now you are in telnet.
10.- On telnet window, put this: dd if=/dev/mtd4 of=/ezxlocal/download/mystuff/bl0285r.bin

That is all.

Good luck!

Hi Exploited, AV3LaR,NestorM fade2black,

Thanks for your response.

As I mentioned in previous thread "ROKR E2 bootloader: BP_NOT_READY Boot Module BOOT_G_00.02.85R_SUMATRA"

As suggested by expert ILove3D, I tried to flash my E2 with Firmware which contains only SBF file
"48P_ROKR_EXTREME_2_ver071126". flash will goes fine upto 95% and it will install most of the code groups. After that It will fail. After rebooting, again it will stuck at initial stage

BP_NOT_READY
Boot Module
Boot_G_00_02.85R_SUMATRA.

If I understood correctly, I can install inetd daemon only if my phone is up and I can telnet to phone.

Please help me in installing new firmware on my phone. I want to get rid of this BP:Boot_G_00_02.85R_SUMATRA. I dont know how it came to my phone.

I have used this phone for nearly 1.5 years. I have played with installing new firmwares. I am very impressed by expertness of ILove3D and Exploited. I am also fan of Linux

Thanks in Advance...........
Basu

You can make telnet without update fw, please read. Installation of inetd is manually because your phone is in stock fw. Just extract the file and replace de .system folder from your memory card. Thats is all for make telnet without update your FW.

Hi NestorM and fade2black,

Thanks for your response........

I have not tried flashing from another PC. I tried on different USB port.

I have over written .system in my memory card by inetd .system folder and tried to telnet to E2. But ipconfig is not showing ip address(192.168.16.1) of phone. I am unable to telnet to E2.

RSD LITE 3.8 is displaying following things about my E2

IMEI/ESN/MEID: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: N / A
Flex Version: N / A
Bootloader Version: v0x000235
DRM Version: N / A
Phone Type: Engineering (0F7133026044113C000000000000)

Is Boot loader version v0x000235 correct one? Pls let me know solution of this problem.
I have googled it and can see below people are also facing same problem.

Thanks and Regards
