i don't have a lot of media on my phone i keep it mostly on the micro sd. the phone says i have about 3 MB of memory but on memory meter in message setup it shows 5 on the indicator. note that i used to have more media on the phone and also more messages but it never said this. could it be a firmware bug or something ?

i don't think it's because a firmware bug, because when i use molo03, that never happened to me.
the message is count by the amount of the character that been use. if one sms is full with 160 character, it will decrease the storage sms.

make sure you store the message to mobile phone, not in SIM card.
otherwise, please remember, did you got this message after changing or sending a file or files to phone?, (especially *.txt), if yes, please remove that or those files from your phone, and restart the phone.

try it first, and give me reports.

Are your messages long?
Maybe it's a memory read error.
Let's just wait for your results..
