hey guys.. i've try this shortcut to explore system files on E2 with windows xp 1.[E2]go to Setting> Connections> USB Setting> USB NET2.[Windows XP],click Start> Run3.on RUN just type \\192.168.16.2 then Enter tadaa.. u are on samba E2 so u do not need to type a command.. just explore

errr.... that's a MUST KNOW if you're gonna mod your E2... hehe don't forget something: SAMBA sucks. I mean, you can't edit any file directly on samba; if you do that, the file will be damaged and its size reduced to 0 bytes. If you're gonna edit a file, you must COPY it to your hard drive, edit it there, and copy back (replace the original file with the modified version). greetings

ok I`ve done it in this way with help of other topics in this forum
1. Change the settings of ROKR to USB-Net 2. Goto Start>Run 3. Type telnet 192.168.16.2 (generally it's the number, otherwise use ipconfig to find out) 4. Type root in the login prompt 5. Go to windows explorer, in the address bar type \\192.168.16.2\system and press enter 6. It's the main thing... by this I also over comed the permission thing

You don't really need these two. After connecting your phone to PC, wait for a moment for the samba on phone to start. That's all.
