can anybody tell me which monster pack gives maximum battery life?

42R or 46R
Correct me if im wrong

many ppl say f/w 46R and small size DRM can gives maximum battery life.
But it depends on your usage too.

It mainly (and almost completely) depends upon how old your battery is.. For me,its just  one day on moderate usage :(

if you do modding activities like flashing editing seem etc that need restart phone i bet you ran out batery fastly

If you own an E398, prefer 42R for best comparable sound and battery life.

You forgot 42_for_all is the most frequently use MP  :D

Well, I think anyone can compare the performance of 42r and all other fimwares on E398 and come out with an inference  :o

And of course,there is the Enlightenment MP by Antrix which I consider as one of the best MP I tried ;)

MotoManiac, It's entirely a personal choice, people usually believe what's new is the best. It's logical to think that the later firmwares were more fine-tuned to the ROKR hardware than that of E398. Since 1ER was the first ROKR based firmware and was equally unstable, no wonder Motorola came out with a quick fix and release 42R. One more reason to adopt 42R is because it's recommended for any 372->373 conversion.

People say 49R is the best. The fact is that, it's the "best" cause it's the most researched firmware of them all, credit goes to Electro. Had he done that to 42R, people would've thought just otherwise.


I'm not saying this to prove my point, just try it and see for yourself.

How long does your battery last? Did you use your phone for listening music?
New battery needs to be charged at least 6 hours to fully activate battery cells.
When I bought a new battery, it takes about 5 times of charging-using cycle to get maximal power.

I think Charge Content14 error message related to language string's problem. Are you using Experiment MP right now? My friend had the same problem when he was using Experiment MP. I don't know how to fix it cause I haven't use that MP.

1 day and half.. i charge  bout 8 hour.. i just turn on the phone, and didnt load the sim.. i just wanna know how long it life..
for a new original battery? how long it take to standby? 2 days or 3 days?

for Charge Content14 is solve now.. yes im using Experiment, i ask him and he said the Langpack font problem.. im not worried bout it.. im just worried bout the battery

Did you buy Motorola original battery or non-original battery?

My Motorola original battery lasts longer than my non-original battery. I'm using my Motorola original battery on my ROKR E1. I use my ROKR E1 for sending SMS messages and browsing internet via Opera Mini. The battery lasts for 3~4 days.

I bought two non-original batteries for my E398 6 months ago. I use desktop charger for charging them. For normal use (some calls and sending SMS messages), I can use one battery for 2~3 days. So my battery should lasts longer than 3 days if I set my phone to standby and not using it.
But when I use my E398 for modem, the battery only lasts for about 3~4 hours.

ermm im using original battery.. argghh, that is something wrong with my phone.. any solution bout my problem??
