With the "MP3Player with EQ" & the "EzxPico" I will be happy ;D. It's too hard to compile all these source codes for E2??

Lasly has been making the GBA emulator for so long already!
What problems did he faced, maybe we can help...

Snes emu has done.. Next step should be GBA, right? It'll fit better in our E2.. Same screen size and less key.. And many of great games to play.. ;D
Oh, Lasly, i'm counting of you.. ;D or maybe someone can port the GBA emu?
After GBA, it must be PSP!! LOL (impossible one) hehe

Honestly, after seeing how the SNES emulator lags with some games... I don't really expect a GBA or PSP emulator.
But a native GameBoy/GameBoy Color would be a perfect thing, for it has a very impressive game count and doesn't require as much computing power, thus would run without problems. And then, it won't need us to turn our cellphone, we could play in a normal position.
I am all FOR a GB/GBC emulator.

Post by: keaglez on August 31, 2007, 03:22:57 am
Yes, GBC also nice.. But i want to try 3d games coz GBA have it.. GBA should be compatible to GBC as well.. SNES is still lag but it was the first version.. Maybe the next version will be better..

PSP is slower than e2 and it has gba emulator.
I think that SNES emulator lags because of not very good optimisation. I remember that I played GBA games on my first PC (333MHz), so why do you think that it's imposible on over 500MHz e2?

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)
Post by: sjj on September 07, 2007, 06:51:43 am
Why do you say PSP is slower than E2?
You cannot judge the speed of a device just by the CPU speed, although software optimization plays a big part too....

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)
Post by: aule on September 07, 2007, 07:56:39 am
So what about Symbian phones? There is a gba emulator and symbian phones, which are not better(even have twice slower CPUs(n70, n73)) than our e2, can run it.
Say what u want but I think at least gbc emulator could be done.

 PSP Product Specifications
    * CPU: PSP CPU (System clock frequency 1~333MHz)
    * Main Memory: 32MB
    * Embedded DRAM: 4MB

I dont think thats gonna work on e2 :D
yes maybe we can emulate, but play. =D just be honest with u

If we can run PSP, it will be slow like a slideshow because the hardware speed is very different...
E2 can even run java 3D smoothly, PSP advanced 3D with shaders simply won't work... Its just like playing Oblivion on a Geforce 5200, it won't run well even with the lowest graphics settings....

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)
Post by: error398 on October 03, 2007, 07:34:35 pm
yup.. PSP have full of 3D, E2 cannot support most of full 3D, becoz the colour got from E2 just 262k, the colour from PSP is 16bit.. how can??

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)
Post by: keaglez on October 03, 2007, 11:33:19 pm
Ehm.. 16bit means 65.536, 18bit means 262.144 and 24bit means 16.777.216, right?? I dont think its the colors problem, but the graphics processor is different.. However, E2 is smartphone that are currently run many thing at once...

herkk ?:-o

i dont think that 65k is 16bit.. i though 16 bit is 16 million colour .. some confusing now..

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)
Post by: keaglez on October 04, 2007, 01:52:28 am
LOL, you can count it by 2x2.. 216=65.536 right? Correct me if im wrong...

I think the number of colours don't make much difference in the speed...

E2 lags a lot when just playing Real Football 3D.I don't know why it lags.I tested it on  SE K618 and it played well.No lag and so fast.About PSX Emulator,in E680 is still under development. But GBA n Xmame had been finished and worked well.

E2 lags in Real Football 3D because of the java heap size problem...
Try Real Football 2008 3D, it don't lag and run very smoothly with 624mhz....

I've tried Real Football 2008 and it lagged too.I tried it on my Z6 and lagged too.But not much lagging as E2.

Erhm, Real Football 2008 3D more lag for me even without keypad light..... The non 3D works better, but still lagging... :(

FYI,I tested Real Football 2007 3D on my sister's V3xx n it run smoothly. No lag at all.So fast and smooth. How come it would be fast and smooth on 228mhz prosessor and so lag and slow on 312mhz prosessor? It's so weird.

Maybe the JVM RAM... E2 just have 1024kb with only 400-600kb free (check it with Memory Up, search in getjar)... Oya, its not heap size... ;)

Title: Re: Can someone try porting these emulators to E2?? (source code included)

FYI,V3xx java heap size is 4000 bytes. So,I don't think it's because of java heap size.I agree with Keaglez. It's because of the JVM RAM.I'll check V3xx JVM RAM.

Real Football 2008 3D lag a lot because the texture size is too high and E2 don't have enough ram to handle it... Try to play with a bigger swap file and 4mb java heap....

Sorry huatz84, I forgot which was the game that ran very smoothly...

Java heap doesnt help much... Bigger heap make more lag... :(
