Title: Joomla export?

well, Im noob in Joomla.

is there any export option so that my file can be opened in many computer? what I mean here, I want my website file in joomla can be saved as .htm (such as dreamweaver file can be saved in .htm type).

help me.thx

Joomla is not a simple html website. It is written in PHP and has programming in background. It is possible to go to "File > Save as..." in IE and save the page as html; however you will have only the current representation of the website without the background logics (which is totally useless).

I assume you are trying to edit a template, am I right? To do that you can browse the template folder and just replace the .png/.gif/.jpg images. That will work.

hmm, so it ain't the same as html in dreamweaver?

so, I need 2 replace those file which is like editin' the html?

uh..."dong-dong" the xpresion of confuse in my lang...lol

usually the templates can be easily modified by two things:
1. Replace the images
2. Edit the .CSS files

The rest is all about php coding

hmm..thx phil...

btw, suppose I copied all the joomla file (I use wamp server) to another computer, can the computer open the file if I browse localhost/administrator in firefox?

I do not understand your question. All Joomla .php files are just plain text (to view the source code I mean).
