Title: Browsing using OperaMini on PC
Post by: are_goenk on April 09, 2008, 11:31:34 pm
You can browse internet using OperaMini from PC using Java Emulator.
In my opinion, SjBoy Special Edition is the best java emulator for running java application from PC.
You can download SjBoy Special Edition+OperaMini 2.06mod+wide screen skin HERE (http://www.esnips.com/doc/a9d355b4-f1bf-4dae-9c05-81d7412395e0/SjBoy-Special-Edition).

This is how to run OperaMini from PC.
1. Create dial-up setting to connect GPRS from PC using your phone`s internal modem. Contact your service provider for dial-up number, username and password.
2. Connect your phone to PC using fax/data connection mode.
3. Dial-up internet connection from PC and wait until it gets connected.
4. Run SjBoy (click Start-SjBoy.exe)
5. Click File > Open > double click Opera 206.jar
6. Change the screen size from Skins > More Skins > double click wide screen
7. Use your mouse to select OperaMini menus and keyboard for typing web address, etc.
Enjoy your internet browsing... :)

The benefit is you can save your money just like if you browsing internet using OperaMini on your phone.
This is very usefull for someone who doesn`t have internet connection on his PC and  always use his phone to browse internet.
Using java emulator, you can view internet page on larger screen (I mean larger than phone screen :)).

Its really hard to write login password with this emulator.
And when writing text, enter button not working (to go to the next line).
And Can it download something?? I try no result.

Usually I use mpowerplayer. Its good enough, can do all thing above and bigger screen.
Installation with internet online needed and u need to install java runtime first.
All free....

Just my opinion, here some screenshoot.

So your point is we can save money if we use volume based charge for internet connection?? Will try it . . .

.... didn't work well. Can't connect to the internet . .  It detect the connection but then nothing happen.
