The thing is...when you buy 2gig card... You have to format it in a motorola that REALLY supports 2gb cards and then you can put it in your e398/ROKR and it will work :)
Only, you cant go to Multimedia > Sounds/Videos/Pictures on TF, only through java corelets and midlets

What do u meant with that?
We cant switch storage to TF when in multimedia??

Im NOT SURE BECAUSE I DIDNT TEST THAT... Im only saying what I know some people done and it works that way...
I dunno if you can switch, probably you can but it will get you back to menu or something... Because the phones software cant read beyond 1gig... I think its that way

Everything works with 1 giga( i have it) but yeah, it is slow when you open multimedia>sounds (since i have 250+ full songs, it takes a minut to open)...
I was thinking of buying ROKR Z6 on summer, also, but then i saw E8 ;)

i guess the size of the TF didn't affect to the speed access, the things that effects are how full your TF, how full your internal memory, and how many files that placed on your memory (internal and TF), more files, would make your phone slower.

i've test with same MP (FW and flex, but different size memory available), same video, the one which has more files and and full, is slow on playing the video, but not on the one which have more size available.

The phone is slow with 1gb (300 mb free) only when going to Multimedia>sounds(tf) and Pictures(tf)... Not videos since I dont have any :)

how many files you have on your TF niks?the speed is not depend on the size of the files, but number of the files, more files you have, it will be slower.

i have about 400 files on my TF, and some pics, and i think it's moderately slow, other wise, the speed parameter is moderate.

after formated from 2gb supported moto, its normal that u cant access menu shortcut in media and games&apps. to enable it upload files using phone cable not tru card reader. later u'll be reading files on medias and games&apps.

2gb tF can read up to 1.5~2 gb but cant access. only 1gb can read and acess.

itunes having a hard time creating itunesdb if exceed to 1gb.

4gb? same with 2gb and reads 1gb same more slower than 2gb TF

any solutions?

I agree with u P_41_JO. The speed access depend on how many files you have on your TF. And I tested before. Also I ever try use 2 GB TF. To open sound in multimedia with 215 songs (in sound folder), 27 pictures (in picture folder), 32 java data files (on kjava folder), 76 skin files (on skin folder) and 1 video (in video folder), it just need about 19 sec. But that with some trick.

19 seconds to open sounds folder with 215 songs? I think thats normal speed, no trick...
I will measure my time, i have ~270 songs :)

I talk about 2 GB TF NiK. It's normal in 1 GB, but in 2 GB it's inclusive of quick. In mine, 1 GB TF with 215 songs and other files like as I said before it, it just take 3 - 4 sec.

yeah, how you did it??on my 1Gb TF (about 400 songs files,60 picture files , some others files) it takes about  20 seconds, and i think my opinion is true cause when i open the sound folder through multimedia it takes 20 seconds, when i open other folder by pressing * or # which has fewer files (less then 10 files), it only takes 2-3 seconds, but when i re open the "all song" folder, it takes about 20 seconds again.
