Install:
* Copy the qplayer folder to /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad

Keys:
* Volume Up/Volume Down = Volume Down/Volume Up
* Prev Key = Seek -300

I can't see the player menu... Are you sure about this Directories?

Or I must rename the downloaded file to 'qplayer.rar' and place it into the address above?
I have some background.avi , but i don't know where to upload it. :'(

This is bogus. Extract the zip and you will get the qplayer folder. Put it in /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad; follow the instructions above.

My PhonewareManager ( only you v4 ) has problem with this qplayer : unrecognized QplayerPerm and quit
But i still can play video file (without root access)
Another point,Qplayer plays .flv video ( from youtube) nicely

I used ZMPlayer Icon and Background cause I too lazy to make one.. =p
MPlayer is from E680's ezxplayer that plays flv.
QPlayer is my own frontend. (;

just wondering will overclocking do any good for this?

coz on ZMPLayer even if we OC to 612mHz,when ZMPlayer is running it'll downclock back to 312mHz...

or can u make it run at a higher clock rate say 416Mhz or 512Mhz?

is it just me or i can't associate my .avi files with qplayer using OpenWith?

if i associate the avi files with qplayer,if i click the avi files it'll say that the file is not recognised or smthg like that... -.-"

it works smoothly on my E2.

I translated zmplayer into spanish, changed the background and packed that into a mpkg file:

for those who wanna have Qplayer in spanish, I attach a translated menu.conf file

put it here: SD\.system\QTDownLoad\qplayer\.mplayer and replace the original file

PS: added extensions file  (SD\.system\QTDownLoad\qplayer\extensions) with 3pg on it

Probably because to associate, you actually need to install qplayer on phone. I associated qplayer with flv etc. manually by editing the /ezx_user/.../am/UserMime and mime.types...

As for OC, you can try? I can't try it now but I think OC would work on qplayer. The reason OC didnt work on ZMPlayer because when ZMPlayer runs, it takes over Power Management(so, technically, it controls the apmd process).

Hmm, I thought I added 3gp already.. might be a problem when I copied the files from ZMPlayer base. Besides that, mplayer can't play my old 3gp files, no audio.

ohh so thats why i also have problems with file associations. i installed mine manually. If someone's been able to make the latest build of QPlayer to mpkg file, we'd appreciate it if you can upload it here! thanks! (or can someone teach us how to make mpkg file?)

I packed the english and spanish versions of Qplayer (menu.conf file translated by me ;) ) with the extensions file updated (it includes 3gp), but since I can't upload to any file sharing services, I made a gmail account:

few bugs i shud mention...

example in the video menu i can't set the brightness properly...

the vol keys won't have any effect same goes to the left and right keys...

i can only change it by clicking on the joystick which will increase but can't decrease...

installed taurnil's qplayer and although my avi files associates with qplayer,it does not play the video after i click the video in file manager...

it just launches qplayer -.-"

I have been waiting for this app. But it doesn't work on my E6. It says "Invalid application file" "The file cannot be used". Has any of you guys managed to make it work on an E6?

CMIIW... but avi files are being played faster than with zmplayer; and I'm using the same mplayer version for both frontends... weird...
a couple things I've seen: it's kinda tricky to switch off pause, it tries to go step by step. Some videos sound weird (mono instead of stereo?)... but that depends on mplayer...

Coz background.avi is 5s. the backlight will blink every 5s.

I found a bug:
When I was playing video (flv & 3gp), i tried open mp3.
the phone froze but mp3 played.
So I must turn off my phone.

when i play 3gp ... there no sound come out, the phone keep silent

lol why do you tell me that? It's not my frontend, it's arctu's... xD
maybe that bug is caused for the mplayer binary u're using right now. Have you tested it with another frontend (like zmplayer)? does it happen again?

It's mplayer. It seems that mplayer doesn't have the sound codec of your 3gp file.

i've problem.. i cannot run QPlayer, it appear an error "Could Not Start MPlayer Process"

I've packed the latest version of QPlayer (english version) + New background.avi (the orange Q) and uploaded it to taurnil's gmail account (hope he don't mind :p)

I play QPlayer for about 1 minutes, when the screen saver active ... the player automatically closed.
can u make it like rockbox, when the screen saver active or when there is a call the player not automatically closed but just paused it...n can play the moview again when the call is over

any1 noes how to associate files with QPlayeR?

on mine it either the phone says it can't recognise the file in media player(newer qplayer) or it just launches QPlayer withought it playing the vid(older QPlayeR)...

ermm u can find the file associate type at .system/Qtdownload/qplayer/.mplayer/

what i meant is that open the vids via the file manager using OpenWith to associate them with the player...

ZMPlayer can do that...

just go to file manager,where the video is stored,click it and zmplayer will launch and play the file...

once the video stop zmplayer will close...

but qplayer ca't do that -.-"

It can't search in flv clips. That's clearly explained at mplayer's thread. And that's not up to qplayer AFAIK...

nope. it isn't. qplayer is my own coding. unlike mplayer, qplayer uses fifo which actually require root access.
