Title: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition
Post by: mati77 on December 26, 2007, 11:50:59 am
Hello motohell… This FW is based on ROKR Ultimate by ilove3d (R564_G_12.01.48P). This is dedicated to English and Spanish users (the name of extra applications are automatically adapted to English or Spanish language). it also includes a reflash for those that want functions of kaledoiscope

The main advantages are:

•   Applications of FW ROKR Extreme 2 (Phoneware man, rokr.lin)
•   Possibility to change the voice commands easily!!! You should put on the file command that is in this package, inside the folder my_favor. You can edit the “command” file whit notepad ++ (included too) and change what the man says
•   Correction of media player. Now it is possible to see all type of signs!!! It has also a softer displacement in the menus
•   The alarm clock sounds although you are in silence or vibrate profile
•   You can use the radio without earphones!!
•   Reading of messages
•   Synchronization with Motorola Phone Tools
•   APMD’s that are in my favor are mounted automatically at the beginning (you should rename it to apmd)
•   Intel Xcale was modified. Now you can choice for 7 APMD, including underclocking and overclocking
•   Corrected the separator in the adressbook when it orders for last name
•   Application to rename pictures with graphic menu (fotoren)
•   The brightness isn’t modified when you makes overcloking/underclocking
•   Camera with zoom up to 8x at 640*480 px
•   Posibility to enable or disable the increased user dictionary easily (see PD2)
•   Very good batery life

The reflash with kaledoiscope adds the following functions:

•   Software keylock (by C + *)
•   Copy/Paste function
•   Multitasking for ezx-application
•   Icons in submenus
•   ilaunch bar
Important: the reflash removes the synchronization with Motorola Phone Tools

Other characteristics:

•   ilove3d Kernel v1
•   Apmd 104/208/312
•   Utilities  (Print screen, Phoneware man, System Info, Intel Xscale, Restart, Lights control, Desktop visuals, LinkSYS, SD manager, Refresh, Fotoren, Open with)
•   Stock Sounds of system
•   Stock Bootimage
•   MotoID working and stock games
•   Descompresor of rar; zip; tar; tar.gz files
•   My_FAVOR automatically executes: apmd, command (for the voice commands), myfont.ttf, ezx_volumetable.cfg

Important: it is recommendable to install the file R564_G_12.01.48P.shx in the second bootloader for compatibility reasons. This file installs 850-1900Mhz 1800MHz bands. If the operator of your country works in the frequencies 900-1800MHz 1900MHz you can install the flex with the corresponding bands included in this package.

DOWNLOAD TITANIUM EDITION (http://www.4shared.com/file/33022663/f58a8e6e/Titanium_Edition.html)

DOWNLOAD KALEDOISCOPE REFLASH (http://www.4shared.com/file/33021829/69182090/Reflash_Kaledoiscope__Titanium_Edition_.html)

PD1: Inside the package there are attached some apmd’s, so you can make permanent overcloking/underclocking putting them in the folder my_favor. This FW comes with an apmd in my_favor created by my with the intention of improving stability/speed. Obviously you can remove it or put anyone you want

PD2: there is a patch for user who want increased user dictionary. You must copy the file "diccionario" inside the folder My_favor and then restart, to enable or disable this function. If you have any incompatibility, you have to eliminate it and restart to return to the previos small user dictionay

can it really use the radio without applying the earphone??

but you still must insert 3.5mm jack, it's for radio detection
I think it doesn't matter if this is only 3.5mm jack without earphone

hey, please write the "INSTRUCCIONES.txt" in English, I can't understand Spanish

and what is the advantage of FOTOREN?
I can't find anything happen in it

I can't believe it because the Radio FM can work without headphones, although it cannot get higher frequency,

when I touch my finger in 3,5 mm jack ports, it works as an antenna, I tried to touch 3,5mm jack for computer speaker and it works like an antenna

Title: Re: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition

I think it rename all the picture in your memory card....but i didn't dare to try it.....

Title: Re: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition
Post by: soccerholic on December 28, 2007, 06:40:12 pm
yeah the picture in MyPhoto folder is renamed, but only some, not all pictures, I wonder why?

and what is MotoID?
and I found IsDaemon in Phoneware Manager, What's this?

when i refresh my media list,
it says "refresh cannot be completed because memory is full'
what memory? I have 200MB in SD card and I don't add anything in phone memory except ezx_volumetable.cfg for increase my speaker volume

Title: Re: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition
Post by: huatz84 on December 28, 2007, 07:39:26 pm
Fotoren is for renaming your photos from Moto00... to name by taken date.
MotoID needs internet connection to identify your song...Also needs operator dependant as no operator in Indonesia can support it.so,it's useless.

Title: Re: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition
Post by: soccerholic on December 28, 2007, 08:04:37 pm
thanks,

oh! the media refresh problem I'va had before is solved, this is because when I flash to thiw fw, I restore the music list by using Backup Tools,
so I deleted the music list first, do it by deleting these file in ezxlocal/download/appwrite via samba (please show all hidden file in ur computer first):
.realplayer.music.list
.realplayer.music.info
.realplayer.picture.list
.realplayer.picture.info
.realplayer.video.list
.realplayer.video.info
then refresh media again

if you use it, try flashed again and don't use backup tools
I have flashed to this firmware and everything runs well,

this firmware has 4 languages: Portuguese, spanish, french, and english,

this firmware is absolutely FAST!
I think it had a little overclocking

You can flash it in order to get icons in sub menu, soft key lock,so you don't need to lock the keypad by switching the lock on the side, copy and paste function just like in most Moto phone, and also iLaunch.

When RSD tells you to power the phone manualy, unplug the usb cable from your phone and remove the battary. Then put the battary again and go to the bp pass mode then plug your usb cable again. Then restart the phone in ap mode and flash the sbf file. See e2mod tutorial for details.

Help!

I've been using it for a month or so, and today the camera flash suddenly turned on and won't turn off no matter what I do? Is this a hardware problem or FW problem? Is there a fix?

I have tried Refresh Phone and Reboot utilities but did not work. I tried using the camera with/without flash but it still doesn't turn off.

Worse, the flash remains lighted even when I turn OFF the phone! Means I have to remove the battery to cut the lights.

Other than this the phone works normally. But I don't want to burn out the flash that quickly. So any help will be appreciated!

straange, read: yesterday my phone couldn't find the network, today the problem persisted and I solved the thing by flexing the xronos & scotish quadband flex file.
BUT there was errors during the hole proccess! it has 246 steps. from the step 17 or 18 till end i had to press "ignore" for it to procced, untill i got to step 246 where the thing ended giving an error msg.
i've never seen that flex file giving any errors, this time it gave BUT the thing worked after that!
My phone works fine now, network is OK with EDGE and quadband.

any ideia on how I managed to do that?

ps. I was using Only You v4 when the problem started then i flashed Titanium and the problem persisted..
then I did all this..

It didn't work. I even reflashed it back to 49P stock. My phone originally came with 45P stock but I didn't try that. Anyone has experienced anything like that?

Can some translate the INSTRUCCIONES.txt in each of the folders to English?  I don't trust online translators...

Title: Re: [E2][MP] Titanium Edition

Para instalar Titanium Edition se debe instalar los
siguientes archivos en sus respectivos bootloaders:

Titanium Edition.sbf --------->   PRIMER BOOTLOADER
R564_G_12.01.48P.shx --------->   SEGUNDO BOOTLOADER

---------->Titanium Edition by Mati77<----------

---------------Made in Argentina----------------

all this mean:

.sbf on first bootloader (voice+red button)
.shx on second bootloader (voice+red+voice, voice, voice, voice, voice till u get the second screem)

I can figure that out.

I asked for translations of all the instruction.txt files, there's other ones in all the other folders, but Google did a better job than most other translators.

Having the same problem with the clock.  Keeps skipping ahead 2 hours.

No Kaleidoscope reflash, just regular Titanium.  I like it for the most part, but this clock bug needs to be fixed.

I'm about to switch back to Ultimate or Extreme 2 if this isn't fixed soon...

i suggest that the next version should have spanish, english AND portuguese languages once it is a south american FW!

i dont think its a bug.  i think you have the clock set on 24 hr. or you have it set on a diff time zone.  mine works fine.

I wasn't the only one with the clock problem.

Anyway, mati77 (creator of this FW) apparently said he fixed this (so it was a bug) in Titanium Extreme but he released a locked firmware.  Hard to trust him now to say the least...

I flashed this firmware and I'm having some problems with the clock and the phone lags sometimes among other things. The biggest problem is that I now cannot flash my phone to another firmware. I can't even reflash this same firmware. I keep getting a "failed" flash error as soon as I try to flash the phone.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem to be able to flash again? Thanks in advance.

is it really neccessary yet format the sd to create swap and ext3 partitions? i did that and after the cell crashes all the time (especially when i try to access to the sd or take a photo) and i needed remove the battery to use it again.
i create a primary partition (FAT16) and an extended partition. in this i created 2 partiotions: swap and ext3. maybe another configuration its neccessary with this version.

EDIT:
I remember another thing.
a message was showed twice: "TAPI server is disconnected" and the phone crashes

Try to reflash? Or reformat the card?
