First impressions: EXTREMELY FAST! I've never seen such fast firmware so far... It's loading my phonebook with lighning speed and the menu is ultimately fast everywhere.

I got a problem with the font of the menu - white text on white background. Deleting /ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/ezx_theme.cfg as they said on the first run - does not fix it.... The resolution of this issue is to go to Settings > Themes > Left button > Reset theme to original values... Now the font is black.

The theme - not the best I've seen so far... Now I am exploiting the new features

reflash contain only CG34, 41, 43
when you flash reflash pakage from ilove3d firmware, you'll lose Setting. you need to telnet to ezx_user/download/appwrite/am then delete Usermenutree, sysregistry.... to fix it.

As Always "Exploited", we got the UNLIMITED support from you, thanks for the link on E2 MOD, I'm downloading now, and after that I'll review that software, but I need to suggest for something, why don't we post our review for this software HERE, then we can collect more than an opinion after that Exploited can POST in directly on"bugzilla" with Motohell name.

i reflashed from ilove3d ultimate. Menu is okay now. But I lost the programs installed on phone. ><. Any idea what to do? Hmm.. can anyone translate the russian folders and its functions?

EDIT: Can't access bugzilla. Bugs: MediaPlayer not fixed. Russians lang on some icons even though I switched to English lang.

i installed it. it works great!

Phone is fast. There are still times when it freezes up for a moment. But then it'll work after a few seconds. It's stilll in ALPHA stage so i guess it's expected to have lots of bugs. Also the Mark function in Text Entry still has some bugs. Sometimes it Marks texts by itself..

yeah i think it's necessary...some applications don't work and system utilities like sd manager and all other from Ultimate are needed...
i like iLaunch and other new features but somebody forgot about other tools and improvements, for ex SWAP partition which doesn't work...
how long must we waiting for the perfect firmware? :/

I got questions:

1)What does "SDS" function in FM Radio do?
2)How do I install new skins? Where should i place them?
3)How do i change the system font?
4)Where to put an autostart.txt or a startup.txt file?

Thanks!

If you don't, we can't release next version of Kaleid =)

i will try this f/w ASAP...

Quote
2)How do I install new skins? Where should i place them?
3)How do i change the system font?
4)Where to put an autostart.txt or a startup.txt file?
U must manually copy-paste the skin via samba or LinkSYS...
And this f/w IS NOT BASED on ilove3d f/w. CMIIW

AFAIK some ilove3d's ToolBox contain Show** Binaries.
It just alpha version we must help reports some bugs. So, hobbit19 can release next version faster...

Got it - working properly. The MP is superb work!

Bugs:

1. Sometimes my camera is starting unexpected, but it cannot be represented.
2. When I put Contacts on iLunch - it does not always start properly
3. No low battery sound, which leads me to not use my phone as alarm clock... Anybody knows how to enable low batt sound easily?

I suggest everybody to flash language pack over it, because by default it will search with cyrilic letters in the phonebook

that would be the best monster

This show* way sucks hardly. I'd rather rewrite all that stupid programs to pure c++ or make a bindings of ezx and qt libraries to some high level language (python for example) than use that show*.

yup. you guys should check it. or.. its /ezxlocal/startup.txt or /ezxlocal/startup_test.txt

--------

hmm.. i think i agree with hobbit.. someone should port the libs to python but.. its like nobody have the knowledge to do it or are too lazy to do it. SO.. the best solution now is to use show** binaries. Or people can go and make firmwares based on kaleidoscope+ultimate/katze.

Thnks for the skin help. I realized where I was doing wrong. :P
Just an idea.
I noticed that the messages and web access in the task manager are constantly running. This is a good thing since when you open this applications that are running on the background the access is much faster.
For the next firmware I would recommend the music player to run in the background. It would increase the speed of access and the lag in the media finder. This is implemented in Nokia N73 (Sucker). In Rokr E2 there will not be low memory problems because it supports swap file.

I really like the edit (copy/paste) sub menu.. It will be more useful if it has select all and go to start/end of text.. The iLaunch feature is pretty cool (with some bugs).. It make my E2 looks like Windows Mobile or Symbian.. I wish my E2 can display calendar and task entry on the desktop (like win mobile and symbian did).. For Kaleidoscope developer, can u make this posible..??

Lol... AFAIK the authors never though about releasing an international version. That boss attitude won't help a bit.  If u don't like any FW, Stop whining and do something on your own! We don't work on this or have the obligation of pleasing u. We mod cuz we like it. That's all.
