Title: Editing default applications
Post by: sjj on August 15, 2007, 05:47:10 am
Is there anyway to edit the default applications like file manager or messages??
I feel that the default applications should have more advanced features and they can be edited to include more features...

For example, the file manager should be able to see hidden files and change file permissions....
And the messages applications should be able to block sms....

I think that is impossible, since this features must be in BP Flash, that is, the shx file proceeding from Motorola!
Obviously, exists the possibility of somebody make a alternative file manager, who knows?!?!

For file manager, i think the one included in Opera Mini 2.04 has the feature to view hidden folder and change permission...

YES! But I don't like to enter in Opera(wait to open the browser), and after to go in menu, to access item file manager , then finally to access file manager, that all, ALWAYS I want access a file!  :-\
A true and only file manager(with the before features) would have to be made (if don't exists...), preferably linux native...

There is a MPKG for this already.  I use it and it works decent, only complaint is that the ringer goes off really quick but stops and gives the caller an error-tone.
