Not GBA Emulator,but SFC Emulator. ;)
lasly has encountered some problem with GBA Emulator.So he decides to port SFC Emulator first as well as be more familiar with the process.
He says now all go smoothly.I guess the SFC Emulator will be coming soon. :D

error398, most likely you will have to flash to ROKR Ultimate as stock firmware don't have the required libraries...

Yes, I do. It has no GUI At the moment so must be called from telnet.

Hopefully most games will run without big problems.  A long time problem in the SNES emulation scene was emulating some of the games w/ special chips (Mega Man X2/X3, DBZ Hyper Dimension, etc.), but we solved that...

I don't know if Lasly condones distributing testing versions...
If he does, well, I would like it (saniokh@gmail.com ), but I highly doubt about it...

After all, my guess is if the emulator can be called with telnet, it can be called with a script as well.

I emailed Lasly for the testing version but he says we still need to wait a few days more.... ;)

I am sorry to be impatient with my question, but since it's kinda important to me...
'cause some emulators don't...

This emulator is a port of SNES9x (I guess you've used it on windows). I guess all the roms and features that SNES9x supports will be supported by E2SNES9x. So it supports many roms and support mode 7 ;)

Some roms doesn't work: mario all stars, yoshi's island (too bad... :()...
Sound options, graphical options, keymap, save states, gamegenie and all the others features aren't available (not yet)
I made a script to choose one of many roms inside a roms subfolder. That's the only GUI I got xD...

IMHO lasly should had tried to port ZNESW... it's a better emu with an embedded GUI wich supports more roms and advanced features. Anyway it's a GREAT job -and I'm a linux programming newbie- :D

Well, porting ZSNES would be much longer, as Oopsware already did some job for the this one, so Lasly didn't have to rebuild everything from scratch.

how to install games like that?? did u all have a games like Tony hawk proskater? DBZ.. so interesting.. guide me how to install it.. still newbie for E2

Well, It depends directly on the rom file.
Mario World works smoothly, also Zelda, chronno trigger....
some of the Megaman roms works well, some of them runs laggy or too much frameskipped...
the average fps is 15fps, wich is ok for me :P

It has been just a week.  He told me "you wait a couple weeks, so I'll make the GUI"
and YES, he needs THAT time (long? lol you're desperated).
What do you prefer... a draft emulator with no options or a full working emulator with keymapping, save states, snapshots and such a good things?  If we want a good emulator we must wait.

Just give him some time, he must be doing his best.

What I wanted was a simple version, maybe a command line one, so that I can test it on my phone...

I can wait for the full version though.... But how is the progress, how much is done??

I hope he want to release the beta version first.. Even with bug inside.. Only GUI needed i think.. Or using sript to call the game is just fine too..

Btw, what about the button? Since it used full screen landscape to play, how about the button? It'll hard to play with joystick and numeric keys in landscape..

Actually, the keymap is fixed. you play landscape (turning to the right)
arrows are 4(up), 6(down), 2(right), 8(left).
buttons are VOL+(A) VOL-(B) FastForward(X), FastBackward(Y), 7 (L), 1 (R), 0(Select) and # (start)
it's kinda tricky -even annoying- playing platform games, but it's ok for RPGs :)

It's nice.. Yeah, we wont break our joystick.. LOL I hope the volume key wont break, since i break my old e398 volume key when using it too much..

i don't think it will break the sidekeys. E2 sidekeys is different with E398/E1.
My volumekeys @E1 (volume +) is broken too. [i must repeat press the key & press again]

I would rather use the emulator with the keypad to the right as I'm right handed... With the joystick at the left, it will be very hard for me to control it...

For the 'A' button, we can use the voice key and the rest of the buttons can use mapped to the volume and music keys...

wanna ask something.. it's SFC Emulator can play *.nes?

hm... crappy controls :( specially the directional pad. But well, it couldn't be much better for a cellphone, at least for this one, right?

I'll wait for a bluetooth joypad  ;D :P

I think it's nice.. We can control the game with two hand.. I like it.. :) I cant wait for the release..!

So relieved I'll not have to worry about my joystick when playing with this emulator... I think it's already a bit off center since I started playing Zelda 2 with Nescube...

You'll only have problems with the buttons of the e2.. its kind of hard to control it because the buttons are not designed to be pressed when the e2 is held sideways..

Yeah, it's great, but I still can't figure out how do I open ROMs, where do I copy them?

It doesn't run fluently on my phone, it lags... I can't get more than 15 fps, even with 412/412/412 APMD and frameskip 5, and with auto frameskip I get 6 FPS, is this normal?

Btw, once I pressed the red button (power off button), the game has suspended. I resumed it, then I pressed it again and it sent me back to main menu (the emulator has closed :S)

besides all this, it's great that we can play SNES roms on our cellphone ^^ VERY THANK YOU LASLY!!!

^ i played bomberman bomberman bdaman w/o OC & SWAP and the auto frameskip. It works  perfectly
But maybe it depends the ROM size.
