Title: Can we swap bigger? Post by: GeozTsai on August 03, 2007, 01:00:27 am I usually dislike the music in games athough some dont have music...
so a play a little with the e2 music player, and my 3d games start to lag. Instead of overclocking the e2, can we swap a little more ? ;) Title: Re: Can we swap bigger? Post by: china QI on August 03, 2007, 05:20:42 am all right in it168 there are 512MB's swap
Title: Re: Can we swap bigger? Post by: Taurnil on August 03, 2007, 05:46:06 am You MUST make a swap partition instead of using a swap file. It's better. All the recent Firmwares support swap and ext3 partitions. Actually, I'm using a 64MB Swap Partition and it's pretty cool and ENOUGH. A 512MB Swap file is kinda USELESS, because our rokrs won't ever need to load such a big applications ;)

just remember to backup ur stuff when creating the ext3 partition... Title: Re: Can we swap bigger? Post by: zjole on August 03, 2007, 10:14:50 am swapfile can be generated using 'dd'
Code: dd if=/dev/zero of=swapfile bs=1024 count=30720 This will generate a 30mb swapfile Title: Re: Can we swap bigger? Post by: steel00 on August 03, 2007, 11:02:03 am yes you can swap bigger.. I have 100 Mb for swap but with 64 is enough
