it's not about SE key, you only need a gprs connection, so you must make sure that your gprs connection is active. but ebuddy 1xxx stable in heap about 1500 or higher, if the keypad is not compatible with your moto, you need a SE key feature or you can adapted the application using motomidman. set the adapted to nokia keypad.
