if you're right, then what can i do to fix my pds ? should i replace it with another one? where can i get it? how?

When i try to make a call or check my IMEI my phone stuck(i mean something like blue screean on windows) and i've to restart it(when someone calls to me it works fine).
I had same problem on elektro's 0.1 - 0.3 MP's is it my phone or it's something in MP?

Try flashing another MP.. see if the same problem occur or not

i didnt recommend you to do such a thing
but what i did is fix /repair my PDS using using MRS
or if you want all the features in this MP but you cant flash its MP why dont you modified by yourself

I tryied lots of stuff today almost all MP's works ok, but yours, elektro's 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 and reflash for autokeylock stucks my mobile when calling. SMS works fine on ur's and elektro's MP.

elektro's 0.4 has not that bug and it works fine i can call.

I have the same problem like user before. When I want to call my phone stop:/ This is very good MP but I must do with that bug. I have original ROKR E1 but without testpoint so i can write MP from E398@E1 with all CGs. Please HELP

I think the problem doesn't come from this MP. Many peoples from my local forum have tried this MP and none of them have that problem.
If you have PDS backup (that is not broken of course), try to restore it after you flash this MP.  Or you can try to flash other MP to see if the problem is still exist or not.
I changed character sequence using CG1 patch. You can find it at Gayoe's patch.
I remapped the handsfree button as right joystick. So you can go next song by pressing the handsfree button the same as you push the right joystick.
You can remapped the keypad buttons using P2K Menu Editor or editing 005b_0001 seem.

Did you flash all the CG's or just reflash your phone?
I've tried to flash this MP to my friend's phone and until now he doesn't have any problem on making or receiving a call.
I also tested this MP to my phone and I never have any problem on making or receiving a call and checking IMEI.

Did you downgrade your BL before flashing this MP?
This MP is made for E398. So you have to convert it first to be worked on ROKR or downgrade your BL to 07.DO.

I tried fullflashing(all CGs) and reflashing(many 'mixes' of CGs) and it turned out that's the problem of CG1(firmware) there's something that causes my problem.

Try to restore your original full backup. If the problem were gone, then try to flash my MP.
I'm pretty sure that the problem doesn't come from my MP, cause no member from my local forum who has tested my MP reported that bug.

just to inform u guys, i guess the problem is my PDS, i've repaired it using MRS(coz i cant find any of my pds backups) and its been 24hours my phone didn't restart, hang or what so ever, everything went smothly. now i'm just struggling to make itunes detect my phone(not so crucial though)..

it just feels so good  ;D ;D ;D (i mean the mp without restart problem)  8)

I give up. I restored backup from time when I first time converted my mobile to R373 and than flashed this MP and I had the same problem
Than I restored backup when my moto was on R342 and than i converted it to R373 next Flashed this MP and still I couldn't call
At the end I made new PDS in MRS and than Flashed and it's still same problem.

Any one has any idea what can I do to make it work plz!

it turns out i have another question, how long the battery would supposed to last ?
mine doesn't last 2 days (i didnt even use itunes at all, just sms few times)  ???, or its just my battery went off its age  :P
or the firmware isn't to good in power management?

if still not working while other mp still works fine in your phone, then i guess this just not for u (doesnt make sense though)  :-X

When my cell phone shows "Charge Complete", and Synerj_tools shows 100% charge, the battery icon shows just 2/3 of charge. It's a bug? This happens with more someone?

I use light DRM for this MP, so the battery should lasts longer compares to the other 49R based MP.
Using this MP, my battery lasts for about 3 days for normal usage.
Try to replace your battery with the new one and see the result.

Yes, that is a bug for patch "change indicates of the battery".
But don`t worry, as djebrut said, it`s not disturbing charging process at all.

Looks like this is a good MP...

When my cell phone is charging the lights are on, I thought that could be the funlight.pat, so I trade it, but isn't this, the lights continued on. What I must to do to the lights be off when is charging?
Before to use this MP, I was using the firmware of Elektro (last version), and pressing * + 1 appear a menu that you could do some changes (like the Synerj_tools), and that had a function called "Scheduled Styles", or something like this. It's possible to activate this function? Because I hate to change the ringstyles always that I go to the high school, sometimes I forget.

this MP is based on original firmware, so it doesn't have some features that only had on elektro firmware, such as *+1 or scheduled ringtone or multiple mma.

maybe you should read more info for this MP, mate :D

One question, any solution if the phone hang when you have a call?

when i change the format date into 01.08.2007, the display stay 01/08/2007....

I usep agoenk MP, when i play songs (mp4) on itunes, i've incoming sms, when i hit read button, my e398 was hang.. then i must open the chasing and remove my battery.....

Another problem, when i completely charge my phone, the battery signal not on the full picture....

I thought this the best MP.... Why??

for sms troule i had no idea but when you completly charge your phone and the icon is not full it cause by patching Batery meter

My mistake. I took the language strings from MP that using patch changing date format (a patch that I don`t use in my MP). But I forget to edit the language string dd.mm.yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy and mm.dd.yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy.
Just edit dnp.prf file in phone`s drive a: your self.

I never had that problem. Does the problem always happen or just happened once?

why when i restart my phone.. my ring style is going to default? everytime i must change that setting.. one thing problem is, when someone call, ringing default was ringing and not stopping untill i shutdown the phone. why its happen??

I'm wondering why many end users from this forum face some problems that I never found before.
I've tested my MP on many phones (including mine) and none of them have those problems.
Ring styles is still set to the last setting that I choosed even I restart or power off the phone, and I never found any problem with calling. :) :)

Yup, as MotoManiacs® said, you can convert this MP to be use on E1.
I've tried this MP on my friend's E1 and it works smoothly.
Just patch the CG1, change the ramldr, DSP and RSA for E1.
You can search the tutorial about converting E398 f/w for E1 for details.
Don't forget to backup first. Always do a safe modding  :) :)

It`s very simple.
Before you send your message, press MENU, select Message options, change the delivery report option to No, and then press done.
The delivery report will be disable until you enable it again.

You can edit and replace the fonts with others using MotoLangEditor 2.2 (http://www.e398mod.com/content/view/446/28/).

Just split the CG4 from MP, open it using MotoLangEditor and add the language that you want to be added to CG4.

Please search tutorial about editing LP and multifonts LP for details  :) :)

If you want a louder volume, just replace the GT (gain table) with a louder GT such as Sysmaster`s gaintable  :) :)

AFAIK some GSM operators using Quad band. Try to enabled your quad band using attached seem below. Extract it and upload it to your phone using P2K Manager. :) :)

Is very simple.
There are 2 methods:

1. Connect your phone in p2k mode at the computer and replace the mma_ucp file from a/mobile/system/ with p2k commander or manager
    (but be careful, first make backup of that file)

2. Connect your phone in p2k mode at the computer, run skin manager, go to "Menu files" section, first select download and save the mma_ucp file from your phone as a backup and after that select upload and upload the mma_ucp that you want.

That's all. Good luck.

Why do you want to change the mma_ucp?
If you don't like main menu order, you can reorder it from Menu > Personalize > Main Menu > Reorder

I think he used file changer and it showed "Failed:native error" .. If that is the case,you have to set the attribute of existing mma_ucp using p2k tools. Uncheck the "system attribute"

hehehehe @goenk, i just wanna add submenu, as web shorcut in web session menu. or headset in connectifity, etc.  i try change with 2pk menu editor, than after reboot the menu have been error.

How to make such perfect skin? I found no default menu like at Itunes, camera, video camera, etc. as I always found on another skin. What makes me wonder too is when i extract the CG2 and split it, get the skin and install it to another MP the default menu comes again on itunes, video camera, camera, etc.  Tell me the secret, please!

Try to edit mma_ucp using MMA Advanced Editor. It always works for me  :) :)

You should use mma_ucp that included in my MP to make iTunes, Video camera, Airplane, USB and Voice Dial icons change to suit selected skin.
Or you can modified your own mma_ucp using MMA Advanced Editor to make your skins use iTunes, Video camera, Airplane, USB and Voice Dial icons from skins folder (not from DRM). I think some had made tutorial about it.

I didnt think that it has a tutorial indeed. Several MP I have ever flashed never has such perfect skin. Therefore I dont think to search a tutorial! I will try it.

As far as I know, it came from original firmware.

You can remap handsfree button so it will act as joystick right using P2K Menu Editor.
1. Connect your phone to PC, then open P2K Menu Editor.
2. Go to Tools > Phone key mapping.
3. Click Open Seem > Open from phone.
4. Click handsfree button, then assign it as joystick right.
5. Click Save seem > Save to phone.
6. Restart your phone and enjoy..  :) :)
