to All of master of motorola....I have a question for you.

i want to use 2Gb memory TF to my e398, and than I fromat it using my phone and walaaaaa, my TF become 1Gb of capacity. I try read it using card reader in PC but still 1Gb. I will format using PC but in format menu no choise more then 1Gb. any one can help me to bring back my 2Gb TF. what correct method to using 2Gb TF in motorola e398.

PS :    phone model : e398
   memory :TF brand V-gen 2Gb. I borrow
   mod : R373 49R, Nano_3engine[X2] by Ritza.
             

i think too risk used tf 2gb in e398,what about hardware durability?iam enjoy with 1gb in my e398.you can tried mmc medic to repair your tf.search in google.sorry bad english.cmiiw

ok thanks for your help, but my real TF is 2Gb. in mmc medic menu only 1G max.but it's very helpful for me. i can repair the other memory. may be you have other software?

i was heared about support 2Gb TF...
partitioned to two 1Gb Disks...
but it make the phone slower...

U can try toshiba SD format (include in toshiba laptop, I have satelitte version)
It will bring back your TF to 2GB.
But still can't use on e398.
Better if u don't buy vGen 2GB, I have bad experience with this brand.
Buy SanDisk, it's better.

i'v got that experience. and, my 2 GB is back
just don't panics. follow my instruction carefully, okey  ;)

you can do a lot with this. you even can partition your TF as you like ;)

Do this step :
  1.turn on your computer
  2.connect TF 2 GB using card reader (which was read as 1 GB, because you format it with phone)
  3.shut down/restart computer (do not eject the TF)
  3.enter DOS mode, or (you can easily use windows CD Installer to do this) if use XP or Vista.
    The point is : You enter PARTITION option, same with partition hardisk
  4.You read carefully the disk partitions, you must see your TF 1 GB partitioned and 1 GB unpartitioned
  5.Delete 1 GB partitioned, so it will join with 1 GB unpartitioned. Become 2 GB unpartitioned
  6.final step : Create partition on 2 GB unpartitioned. Make it all,
     you should see new partition : 2 GB ( new raw ).
    don't do anything else again !!   you need to restart computer immediately
   

congratulation !! your 2 GB TF is back  he... heh.. he... he ......

after restart your computer , and FORMAT that 2 GB USING COMPUTER
 notice this : FORMAT 2 GB PARTITIONED USING COMPUTER !!

believe me, those steps are working. Tested on my TF, back to 2 GB. I Guarantee (insyaAllah)

Ritza, i try toshiba SD format but my PC or that program not detect my TF, are that program only work at toshiba laptop? i not use toshiba laptop just PC. can you borrow it for me. he he he. ;)

manak, thanks for your help. but after in partition option, i only see my 1GB partitioned, no other. i format that partition, no change.

Try again manak method.
Or try format in phone that support 2GB TF. Like nukiyem, samson, or LG.
I recomended in LG, coz sometimes vGen undetected by nukiyem.

still guarante? why u don't give back to the shop where u buy it? more easy right?

OK all, i have solve my problem, i use ritza methode. format with other phone which support 2G memory, I use Nokia brand, and .......

about my method, i think it is little difficult unless you are good in computing. because it's really work for me. you just need to find the unpartitioned drive.

yes, sometimes we want to try 2 Gb. Afaik it's not supported yet, for now

i never try 2Gb. but i think it is not supported yet. i am enough for 1 Gb

It's better to format with another phone that support 2gb,for example i use LG ku250,and the TF was gonna back to 2gb.
I think it more simple.
