the UI framework all done.
now the functions are still in progress.

2 tabs showing phone and memory card applications

apps listed in the tab page, with small icons (no big icon view mode, maybe next version :P)

there're only basic options with out multi-select operation

how it looks like ?  8)

mpkgbox has finished, now I'm making rokr application so that we can install mgx into the box :)

there's no firewall, but sometimes download managers fail to download, because of the hotlinking protection.

btw, there's still no mpkg surpport for E8,
this one is not only managering, but also a launcher

snap is in the wishlist but not started doing that, maybe days later

click & run functions just been tested successfully yesterday, so the rokr will be ported too

it's international, there's no custom Chinese menu items
what you need is flash your prefer lp, or if you use English no need flashing anymore

yes. the base snapping function is from the source of dimichxp's

UI framework still has problems. since the softkey only works in 'ZFormContainer' but not 'ZKbMainWidget', so the layout is ugly and still finding ways to solve

their not commercially desirable anymore

but what happens when we can't mod them,
we'll move to something else,

in the end it's not the modders loosing out
it'll be motorola themselves,

Please dont call people stupid.. None of us here are stupid, we just like to use things our way... And when you mod a phone and brake it - service doesnt validate you warranty, so whats the big deal, they get paid for fixing it...

its suck if we dont mod it,especially the default skin. we even cant change it with the original FW, i dont think any young guys can stand using the same damn skin day after day..

But I personally don't like the way Moto did with their cell phones. They keep protecting their phone from being modded.With the renew bootloader and sticky firmwares,It sucks.No one wants to have a phone with just one skin and it can't be added.

Well i guess that first of all you need to learn some language program, like BASh, PHP or C/C++  and then it's gonna be piece of cake, i don't but Arctu gave the Show* libs with PHP support so i think if you know PHP you should check the applications that have been written in that language for ROKR E2, and you understand, visit Keaglez website, he's done a couple really useful, so if you are really n00b try learning some BASh, which is quite easy to learn

.lin .sh infact an executable file for the phone, it can be scripts or ELF binaries

shell script is simple
ELF can compiled from c/c++ sources

for start developing, you need to have linux basics, shell basics, c/c++ basics and more

I am programming on C/C++, PHP and JAVA :) Currently I am focused on C and C++ only (on my www.cphpvb.net website); however only for teaching, not real life development.

tutorial? hmm, the main problem is the header files. I'm using modified header files taken from MOTOMAGX SDK. I'm  really sure that from the license, we are prohibited from editing it and hence not able to release it.

btw, the dialog which disables keypad has finished, when I finish the rokr program both mpkgbox and rokr will released, and the sources

my header files still have serious problem that I can't make ZKbMainWidget to setSoftKey correctly ( softkey won't shown, and click no response. )
my programs as you can see are using the znavtabwidget to avoid this problem ( softkey was a child of ZFormContainer )

You should flash the original 02.07R first.Don't flash the MagicX FW over the modified FW.

Maybe it's not supported by operator.In Indonesia,phonename doesn't work for ProXl operator.
I'm using Indosat and it works perfectly.
