Title: [E2] bluetooth and overclock question
Post by: silentsnow31802 on October 12, 2008, 09:11:57 pm
Sorry for all the new threads but I keep finding things I have questions for.

First: Im using the Titanium Extreme II firmware and I notice it has the Intel Xscale software for different APMD settings. I was wondering if this is the same overclocking that changes the speed of the processor? Im guessing the last set of numbers in the 104/312/416 is the processor speed meaning 416Mhz in that setting? What are the two other numbers? Also what one would be best? I tried 416/416/416 and it killed my battery in less than a day.

Second: When playing music through my bluetooth stereo headphones I get pauses in the music. Is there a way to stop that from happening? It dosent happen when playing music through the phones speaker.

Thanks in advance for your help.

about the AMPD, yes it meant to overclock the processor, but it's quite save, 104/312/416 is the processor speed adjustment according to how much task it's working on, if you stayed idle, then the proc will run on 104, it will increase it's speed as the task getting heavier, playing java games, listening to music, tends to put your proc to the fastest clock you already set

i think what you mean with the bluetooth headset is lagging right? well, it's just because of the bluetooth speed, maybe you could reduce the lag by reducing the song bitrate

Thanks, that explains why my battery died so quickly.

As for the bluetooth, it plays normally then it will cut out and then start playing again. Like the bluetooth loses signal for a second. My music is at 128kbps is that too high?

I didnt think that was too high, 128kbps is general CD quality. Ill try a different bluetooth device to see if that helps.

funny, 128 kbps should be fine, maybe it's the headset problem

Well I couldnt find another headset to try but I did try this one on a different phone. It worked fine on the other phone so the problem is with my phone somewhere. Guess I will just deal without it for now.

I have a Motorola HT-820. I would think it was compatible.

EDIT: I think I may have found my problem. I took the phone apart and it was full of rust. The internal battery was leaking all over the place. I guess the previous owner dropped it in water and didn't tell me  >:(

thats weird, E2 have better bluetooth... I have tried sending file to bluetooth dongle before, E2 have about 40 kB/s while E398 only 9 kB/s...
