I am a driver from 5 years and today sadly I got my first fine. My phone ringed and I got it out of my pocket to stop it from ringing. A policeman saw that and he thought that I was talking...

Now I must pay 50 levs (25EURO) :(

Wow....you must be a very good driver....but in my place,there is more than one way to pay the fine....such as giving the police some 'donation'.....

Yup, in my country, bikers use their phone (receipt call or read sms) when they driving a motorcycle.
Very dangerous...

in my country we can 'donate' a policeman :D. Just give him 3$ - 10$ USD.
Smoking and take phone in car is not problem. :D

BTW, now I still don't have drive license (still young) but everyday i go to school with motorcycle.
Luckily untill now no policeman catch me. LOL :D

actually,law is changing very soon. 50cc motorcycles with 14 years, 125cc with 16, over 125cc with 21 years... And to get car lincece you have to go to school first and it last about six months and it cost about 500 euros... That's coming very soon  :(
I had luck anyway, I have licence for motorcycle (I can ride every bike,no meter how many cc) and for car,so these expensive pays... Bye :)
and fines,well I payed only one at 2006, when I bought scooter (125cc)... after that happened I get licence and started to ride legaly :)

wasn't able to pay, because "it is not ready"... They extended the fine with one month

my fine came after year and more :) I almoust forgot for it :)

my 1st fine is last year.. 2 months after i got my license. the reason is i hav no "P" sticker on my bike, my fault. go to police station weeks later to pay the fine, RM50. and on the way home, i got 2nd fine because dont switch on my front lamp.. i hav to pay another RM70.... so sad.........

aku46 - sounds like your country has a strong control. What is a "P" sticker?

p is for amateur biker/driver.......we have to stick it to our vehicle when we just got our license.....

ahh we have the same, but it is just a yellow triangle with "!" inside. When police say something about it I always answer "It's not my car - it's my fathers car. Look at the documents!" - this is enough for excuse!

"Lord of the road" or "Lord driver" is the following:
1. Must be from town Pernik (town near Sofia, Bulgaria), so the car registry sign starts with the letters "PK". This gives the car additional 20HP.
2. Must drive VW Golf II - tuning required! Spoiler on the back is necessarily and of course a huge exhausting pipe (why not two).
3. Must have a CD or a toy hunged on the central mirror.

That's what I am talking about (Pernik)... It's not Golf II, but all symptoms of "Pernik Tuning" are here:

Pernik Tuning Tutorial (or how to increase the horse power of your Golf II):

1. You get 120 HP with regular Golf II GTI. Go get it!

2) Sign "GTI" at the front gives you 5 HP, one at the back gives 15 (other people always look at your back!)... => we have 140 HP here...

3) Darkened windows + 10 HP

4) Two additional fog lights on the front + 10 HP

5) Big end of the exhausing pipe... oh man, that's serios - 25 HP! => Total here we have 185

6) Big sticker with sign REMUS on the back window... I give here at least 25!

7) Custom 16V sign sticker will give you around 15 HP => 225 total on 7)

8) Little, but VISIBLE (?!?) spoiler on the boot will help you to higher the air pressure and lower the fuel leaks - that's about 25 donkey powers or you have total of 250 HP!

9) Mould wheel rim (imitation of O.Z.) 20 EURO pair gives 20 (5HP per rim) so total 270!

10) Any tuning company sticker gives 2 HP, eg every Pernik "Golfer" have minimum 10 firms (different) we end up with 290 HP average

11) Only 1 HP, but really cool feature is to have few red diodes hidden in the muff of the exhausing pipe. It will look like that the Golf makes the pipes red!

12) If your car number starts with PK, KH or at least BH you will get 15, 10 or 5 respectfully; however only the PK can double his HP when he drives in Sofia! If he drives in his home town - the HP are falling down twice (sad).

13) Very very important is to look "gangster bad" and to use the horn a lot. This gives you about 30 HP!

14) Open driver window, left hand handles the steering wheel high with elbow out of the window, right hand on the  gear level (squeeze at least three times harder than the wheel!), head down the way that the eyes are at the level of the elbow (because you will look more scary that way), Nokia 3310 on the belt and a hardcore pop-folk music from the new audio system! It looks hard to do, but when you get used to it - 10 HP for you (it deserves more, but too many people are already using that). Now our dream Golf II will be over 300 HP !!!

13) Blue lights on the wind-screen wiper gives 7-8 mule on your car (night time only!).

14) Every real supercar Golf II owner can:
- Outrun from the right side - 3 bonus points.
- Drive with at least 40Km/h over the limits in non-English speaking countries - 4 bonus points.
The idea is that they can exchange their bonus points for horse power in special Golf II supercar shops. Those shops are popular in Bulgaria as: "Golf-2 accessories - everything 1 or 2 EURO". They give stickes type "dirty spot", "crack", "playboy" and others.

15) Doggy, cat, elephant or at least a CD on the front window are a big HP bonus for a Pernik (PK) golfer! Sometimes it's hard to see the road using those junks, but that's exactly why the Pernik car masters are the best! For every self-respectful Pernik driver it's obligatory to have a tufted rug on the back seat (it's hard to see that from the darkened windows). Now finally if you also have a box of eggs there - you deserve your 5HP!

16) Printed note, sicked from the inside of one of the windows (or doubled from the two sides) which says: "FOR SALE! 10 000 LEVS!" gives you 10 HP. If it's EU style: "FOR SALE! 5000 EURO!" you get 15!
You will never sale such precious car, but it's important for the other people to know it's price!

Where are we? Did you calculated your maximum? Your golf is the most powerful car in the world now!

It depends where you ride the bike. If you do it in town it's hardly to say that it's healty. You are deeply inhaling the cars smoke

nah, i wear a masker, even a motorcycle rider wears it..... the pollutions really are something

luckily i live in a small town.....pollution is still minimal......but the problem with cycling is that it give me a bicycle athlete legs,but my upper body still look like a couch potato's shape.....

actually "P"  sticker is a must for 2 years after get the license no matter whose vehicle u drive or ride. some politicians say malaysia is a police country. police always see when u make anything wrong. even u can be in captivity for 2 years without ur case can brought to court!

Bulgaria is the same, but it is corrupted police country. It's even worse :)

Same here in Indonesia.I had ever caught by police coz I forgot to use helmet..And I gave the police only $1 and he let me go..LOL.

my brother and i had donate less than $ 1 (about Rp 8.000,-) because we pass the wrong line :)

nope....my father works for the government.....but he's not some big government officer........he's the headmaster of a primary school........

Here it is the most easiest exam you'll ever face.. We just need to answer 12 out of 20 ultra simple online objective type questions.. :)

It's the same here... Drive theory is very easy in Bulgaria.

easier in Malaysia.....you just have to make some donation....depends on the ammount, you can even get licence without breaking a sweat.....

Not that easy I think, certainly not at my area.. You have to first drive along an "H" path without touching set of rods and then a road test..

But what he said in the last part is true.. that is we can obtain license easily bribing some money and even without appearing the tests..
