Title: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: ilove3d on August 10, 2008, 03:24:32 am I did some tricks on the kernel source, the mtd8 mtd9 offsets changed to cg34 and cg41
merged cg34 35 36 37 as new cg34, cg41 42 43 as new cg41 cg34 showed as /dev/mtdblock8, mounted on /mnt, linked ezxlocal ezx_user and language, data_resource cg41 showed as /dev/mtdblock9, mounted on /, contains the original cg43 files. http://moto.it168.com/viewthread.php?tid=361942&extra=&page=1 Title: Re: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: NestorM on August 10, 2008, 09:26:31 am Thanks, good work.

Title: Re: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: ilove3d on August 12, 2008, 10:03:12 pm the link goes to the firmware I called <SUPERMARS>
http://moto.it168.com/viewthread.php?tid=361942&extra=&page=1 #1 -- the flash firmware #4 -- development package, and simple HOWTO document the first fully unlocked E2 firmware that user can modify anything directly. (seems there're similar firmwares for A1200, E680, A780) you can replace AMCSL.TTF but no need `mount --bind' to change the font you can simply delete any original pics and ringtone comes from the firmware you can edit the configfiles even there're in /usr Title: Re: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: ilove3d on August 12, 2008, 10:04:45 pm still, Chinese , you need to modify it.

Title: Re: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: ilove3d on August 14, 2008, 06:17:33 pm do not flash any sbf right now, or you will not boot your phone ( the structure differents )
you can simply replace the files Title: Re: [E2] modify system without flashing. - mounting rootfs as jffs2 succeed Post by: ebrainte on August 14, 2008, 07:03:17 pm The FW is all in chinese, no?

It's stand alone program. I think kernel.diff is modification string in Supermars kernel. why we can't flash this firmware? Yes we can, i have tried 'Supermars INFINITY'. |
