Title: Java heap size Post by: GeozTsai on August 01, 2008, 04:21:22 am I just found this on the web :
its somthing about a java heapsize setting that can make our java faster... I think it says somthing like linking the java directly from the midlet or somthing like it... http://moto.it168.com/viewthread.php?tid=356270 Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: Joka X on August 01, 2008, 09:01:05 pm looks different from other heap size changer.....but i cant seems to buy the file with my point....mind buying it GeozTsai?
edit: here we go.....anyone want to give it a try? Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: Joka X on August 01, 2008, 09:14:07 pm here's a google translation on how to use it......
Javahs.lin download and run the first to enter the parameters of the heap size is. For example, 3D golf first enter 0, and the second is to enter the JAVAID procedures such as my 3 D Golf \ mmc \ mmca1.system \ java \ DownloadApps \ MIDlet20067 in so JAVAID is 20067.try to modify it to suitable value. Not The more the greater good, nor is it smaller the better... Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: keaglez on August 02, 2008, 12:07:00 pm Wah...looks great... :) I will make an improvement of the script...so we can choose the java name, instead of manually write the id... xD
Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: keaglez on August 02, 2008, 05:47:57 pm Ok... Here we go with my version...
Java HS This is a program to change heap size (or Mot-JavaVM-Heapsize) number on selected Java registry files. This can make Java run smoother and sometime solve out of memory problem. Usage is simple, choose the apps and write the new number you want. :) The suited number for each apps is different, so you must search for a suited one. For example, Nitro Street Racing works great with 2 or 3, when others works better in less or more... Requirement PHP --> get it on Revival pack and place it on one of these folder: /ezxlocal/.system/bin, /ezxlocal/bin, /mmc/mmca1/.system/bin or /mmc/mmca1/bin Revival's showQ, showNotify, showList, showEntry --> included in package setconfig --> should be available on any new MP out here Any suggestion, question and request are welcome. http://keaglez.e2mod.com/project/files/javahs.mpkg Download, install, set to root, run, and enjoy. (dont forget to get the php first) Ps: develop program using PHP is fun, eh? ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: AV3LaR on August 03, 2008, 06:24:34 pm Thanks Keaglez (i still can't get used to calling you Herrick Tword LOL) it needs to be set as root and 1 question it ask for a registry but i don't really know how or what registry is it talking about????
thanks PS. Was this (PHP) one of hte surprises this FW had incorporated? Would love to see the apps in that are shown in the (sorry xD) .lin files that are in those files specially the rokrGui i think i won't sleep tonight because im'a check all those files and try then in my phone and if is anything i can do to help you guys with the development ask me ok Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: keaglez on August 04, 2008, 01:11:30 am Sure, call me keaglez is fine... ;) Oh, well, does it work for you? It reads the CardRegistry/InstalledDB to list the apps, and then read registry.txt for the heap size number... There you can change it and experimenting for the best one... For example:
Pro golf 3D works best in 0 Nitro street works best in 2 PES work more smooth in 0 (well, havent try more) -edited- :) Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: NestorM on August 04, 2008, 02:46:33 pm Pefect Herrick, it work perfect. Now I can play Reall football 2008 :)

if the answer is yes could you post the source code from the app for us (me xD) to check it Title: Re: Java heap size Post by: keaglez on August 10, 2008, 09:23:27 pm Yes, PHP interpreter with command line interface. :) The apps is already open source, you can open the javahs.php and see everything there. The PHP interpreter compile and run the php script on execution, just like Python. ;)
