Title: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 20, 2008, 10:07:13 am Hi guys! :)
There is a idea for how it is possible to overclock the Neptune LTE processor. You can see the table (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#ARM_cores (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#ARM_cores)) about the ARM7 processor's clock. The processor in the E398/ROKR E1 is running at 52Mhz. - What is my idea? - Now, i have two ideas: First.: - I'm searching and modifing the CPU algorithm or code in the f/w. if I can't find anything else, here is the Second: - I noticed it the ARM7 <-> Clock Generator <-> Oscilliscator have a connection with all. If the Oscilliscator had a new ohm value, maybe the clock generator is update the processor's clock. Image: (http://bloodmakers.extra.hu/overclock.jpg) If anyone have another idea, pls. write it:) Thanks! (Sorry for my bad english) Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: NiKSY on June 20, 2008, 11:53:55 pm First, welcome! You sound like you've been to some serious electronical schools... :O
The idea has been discussed many times, but it was long time ago and mostly on MoMo...We all know MoMo is gone and so is all that knowledge... If I remember good, best idea on MoMo was to replace the part that tells the proccesor on which speed to run or something like that! Im really no good with that technical stuff... I would like to wish you luck! Anything you need - ask for it :) We would all love to see that happen ;) BTW, you gonna edit the firmware? Woo coool, you know ASM? :) *edit* I just noticed that its a picture of a Neptune LTS not LTE ? Overclock? This like many people do in AMD procesor? Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 21, 2008, 02:22:26 am Thanks :)
Yes, Neptune LTS :) (but, all the same, that is LTS or LTE. The there are not many differences quasi between two.):) Yes I know the ASM (I'm now learning :) ) The service manual says: "The processor is S Neptune LTE/LTS" :) I'll be back later.:) bb. This like many people do in AMD procesor? :D The most processors are overclock(able) some way. But we dont want to extremely up the VCORE voltage, because it makes an exploded processor :) (Like AMD) :) AMD and Intel processors are overclockable. (but let us not differ from the topic ) :) Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: NiKSY on June 21, 2008, 09:45:40 am May I suggest something? Could you use 48R firmware as base for your edits? It is absolutely the fastest one... I could upload beta of my 48R MP?
Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 21, 2008, 10:19:39 am Yes I could. Please upload it. :)
I want to try something :) Thanks :) Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: tegezan on June 21, 2008, 10:49:34 am waiting the result bro.. good luck!

I want to try your 48R firmware then I want to search the code inside about CPU Clock values and etc. :) Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: NiKSY on June 22, 2008, 12:08:04 am I will upload it today, not sure when, sorry... You will get PM :)
Sorry for the slow response Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 22, 2008, 03:24:23 am No Problem! and Thanks :)

good luck TS Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: juklitinov on June 22, 2008, 05:10:25 am Poer aka Red have do something like this on GF Mantic.
It's make the phone need more battery power. I'm not sure, but it's make many bugs on him MP.(sorry Red) @TS, make better and good luck :D Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 22, 2008, 05:28:10 am Poer aka Red have do something like this on GF Mantic. Sry. but I not found. Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: MATRICE on June 22, 2008, 02:17:58 pm @juk
ur wrong bout ur steatment if that mp poer is more reduce batt.i use it now and it lowbatt until 8 hours. Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: juklitinov on June 22, 2008, 03:24:28 pm @Matrice, sorry, I just say what I know.
That's it. Can u post that MP? @Motomodder, sorry I'm also lost ROKR GF Mantic4 when my pc broken. Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: MATRICE on June 22, 2008, 10:19:16 pm i cant thanks
Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: Exploited on June 26, 2008, 06:52:50 am increasing the voltage a little always does the desired results... Why not? :)

Can u post that MP? @Motomodder, sorry I'm also lost ROKR GF Mantic4 when my pc broken. @juklitinov No problem, i found it :) increasing the voltage a little always does the desired results... Why not? :) because the clock generator' clock is fixed or the F/W's "CPU Control" is running the processor at optimal speed ;) Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: ~MotoModder~ on June 26, 2008, 11:29:24 am oppps. I'm downloaded the version 3 of GF Mantic :(
Someone else can upload/send to me the GF Mantic V4? Title: Re: My Plan : Overclocking The Neptune LTE (based on ARM7 processor) Post by: MATRICE on June 26, 2008, 09:11:23 pm i recommended fastgranfinal rockmantic.
